With all this talk about Jeff Lacy fighting

yep, thats the guy, checked on boxrec.

He is a lemon. Didn't land 1 punch on Dawson and it wasn't exactly cause Dawson looked incredible.

I think this was on the same night that Pavlik knocked out Taylor

Mendoza's actually a solid journeyman. I'd make him about a 3-2 underdog against Lacy. He fought Dawson on short notice and he knocked out Tukumbo Olajide, who was probably the best prospect in the world a few years ago, and also Ruben Williams. He hits hard, harder than Lacy.

 

Mendoza seems ok. Dawson may have worked him over but Lacy ain't Dawson.

For a tune-up, on espn no less, this is an ok fight.

Lacy probably wins but if he keeps looking like **** than he could be in for a tough night.

 

Lacy should retire, Calzaghe beat his career out of him, he will never be the same again.

 

Mendoza seems decent... He knocked out Rubin Williams.. A lot of that had to do with Rubin tryna make 160...

He's a punchin Columbian.... and jeff been inactive.......

 

Both, he is just totally shot just watch 2 fights before Calzaghe and 2 after, the difference is insane.

 

I think that has a bit more to do with Jeff's shoulder injury than it has to do with Calzaghe.......

 

this has more to do with Jeff Lacy getting a massive injury to his left shoulder which needed surgery and 1 year of rehabilitation. It was actually Tsypko that Lacy was fighting when he got injured, not Joe Calzaghe

 

Definitely. Especially with jeffs twisting, hooking style. Dont think hes ever going to recover.
