With Anderson injured, would you like to see Sonnen v Belfort or Sonnen v Hendo?

Hendo vs Wand would just be a more brutal repeat of their 2nd fight. No interest for me. No need to even mention takedowns, Hendo would just stand with him.

 

I've watch it don't worry, I agree he didn't gassed until the 4th, but what if is next fight is a 5 rounder ?

And we are talking about 185 here, not 205, if my memory is correct last time he got handled by Shield for most of the 5 rounds and when he fought Anderson he gassed after the second round(if my memory is correct, hasn't seen that fight in a while)

He hasn't made 185 for the past 2 years.

And putting all your money for a first round KO is always the dumbest thing to do, anything can happen in MMA, even Henderson going into the 4th round !

 

Really? We're talking about the same guy that followed "the plan" for one dominating round against Anderson, and then decided he was Muhammad Ali the next round. Talking about the same guy that stood with Shogun and Wand. Same guy that stood with Fedor. The fact that he usually wins slugfests, has huge power, and a granite chin, all of which he very well aware, and proud of, makes me believe he thinks he can slug it out with Leben. It would be an awesome fight.

 

When was the last time Leben pressed for takedowns and fought at a break neck pace? I'm talking one fight specifically, not taking on the whole division. And why in **** would the UFC ever, EVER waste a ppv slot for a 5 rd Leben fight? That would be some stupid ****. Especially if he's fighting Hendo.

 

I get that, I just don't think Hendo would take the chance when it's Leben's only offense. And it wasn't like he was throwing down with Fedor either, he was more-so being patient and exploded when Fedor hurt him, so it was a reactive thing, I don't think he'd stand and bang with Leben, maybe he'd still stand but I think it's more likely he'd take him down and use his ground n' pound, otherwise he'd be giving Leben a chance.

 

Hendo only uses takedowns when he's hurt, tired, or for one round against Anderson.

 

I hope for you they ask Hendo to go back to 185...:nut

 

I hope for our sake, you are never a match maker. If you can't understand why that would be a good fight, than you aren't very smart. Hell, you could probably even do it at a catch weight. But for some reason, you think Hendo has to drop to 185 to make it happen. Get out of your box kid.

 

IMO, a Machida Vs Hendo would be alot more interesting then 2 slugger going for the BANG.

Machida is fighting the champ in December. Why the hell would he fight Dan? Dan just beat the guy that beat Machida. It would make more sense to have Dan fight Davis or Rashad for a title shot. Don't quit your day job.

 

I cannot understand why people want to see Hendo back at 185. He looked like total **** against Shields and since then has been on amazing run, I think the additional weight was a big factor in that.

 

Nobody wants to see him make a run at 185, but there are some interesting match ups there. Let's face it, he isn't winning a belt at any class. He needs exciting fights.

Yep, mostly. It's almost a shame that he uses his wrestling primarily to keep a fight standing. With the sort of power he has you figure he wouldn't be averse to taking fights to the ground for some gnp. I'm sure he would have no problem pounding people out.
