with Barrera making a comeback in 12 days, are we gonna get MAB vs EM IV?

I would like to think it's a ludicrous proposition, but Marquez-Vazquez IV sets a dangerous precedent.

How come? Marco and Erik aren't going to cautiously box each other if they meet a fourth time. It's just more brutality that they don't need at this stage, when most fans agree that even carefully-managed comebacks for both are ill-advised.

Barrera and Morales are no longer in the same weight class, and are both significantly more faded than either Vasquez or Marquez was for their final meeting.

Vasquez's scar tissue proved to be a major issue, not one shared by either the other two Mexicans, who have both shown the capacity to put on an uneventful fight before. Vasquez and Marquez couldn't miss one another.

    Barrera/Morales IV will never happen.

Ah, OK - I originally mistook you for thinking that MAB and EM were less shot than Izzy and Rafa. :good

I wasn't really happy about Vazquez-Marquez IV when it was announced (and really loathe it in hindsight), so to me they're comparable in that they both fall firmly in the "Do Not Want" category.

If they really go for it they might both just collapse and die in the ring. Barrera has aged 15 years in the last three years.
