Agree with this. Could be a case of Mayweather simply preparing himself to campaign as a 154 lber.

At his age, who knows, maybe PBF is reluctant to yo-yo through weight divisions. We'll have a better feel when we see his fight night weight for Cotto.

But he weighed 150 against Ortiz two years later, so I doubt he was "close to 160" against Marquez. To answer your question, I think he can easily make 147.

Floyd can't make 140. He couldn't make 144. How is he gonna make 140?

basically this. floyd fights a defensive mans fight even though he is more then capable of slugging with the best. why?, because it helps him maintain himself throughout the long era that he has been champ and remained undefeated

cutting weight as anyone involved in boxing knows can sufficiently hinder you in the long run

notice that both pac and mayweather never really TRY to make weight? they stay at there natural range and dont push it because they care about there health

(manny has been in god knows how many war's and for hes age has still remained extremly able to hold it down at the elite level)

he could make 140 but cutting weight is alot more taxing on the body then stacking

mayweather wont risk he's body and rightfully so... god knows what the haters would say if mayweather started doing what ortiz or JCC jr do
