See-Manny will risk his body-Manny is a true champion who will go down to 135 if the right fight is there-But Manny can demand the guys at 135 to fight him at his weight as he is the lb 4 lb king and he calls shot in negotiation.

If anything he proved that he just became a full/natural WW when he fought Mosley though he's been at the weight for years. Maybe even against Marquez he was a full WW too but it's different because when he fought Mosley he looked about his size and Mosley is a full WW. He's just handling his weight the best he can so no he hasn't outgrown WW. He's just looking for the best fights possible and 147 didn't offer him anything as the Pacq/Floyd fight will never happen.

Mayweather can probbly make 147 for another year or two.
I find it funny that so many of you think that boxers move up in weight to face new chalanges. The real reason is that they can't keep all that weight off as they get older.
Mayweather is going to find it harder and harder to make 147 in the futuer. NO MATTTER HOW HARD OR OFTEN HE TRAINS. His up coming jail term is also going to make it harder for him to stay at 147 as well.
There are only 2 or 3 bouts left for him at 147: Manny Pacquiao (he'll find some way not to fight Mayweather, and Arum won't put anyone with no chance to beat Mayweather in with him). Andre Berto (If he beats Ortiz) and Possibsly Mike Jones (If Jones progresses like he should, I can see Arum beleviing in Jones more than Pacquiao.) Jones 2 year from now would have the best and possibily only real chance to beat Mayweather who wil be strugeling with the weight.
If Mayweather really want's to improve his legacy he needs to conquer 154 and beat whoever the man is going to be at the time at 160.

How about the fact that hes a small welter now.

You honestly expect someone who is 5'8 to go up and win the middlweight division, against guys like Chavez who is 6'2 and weighs about 180??

He might, but it would be absolutely incredible if he did it and would be P4P #1 goat If he did it.

Hes weighed 150 for the last 5 years in the ring, i dont think another couple of years is going to make him baloon up 15 lbs.

He's short but he's not small. Yes his power has decresed at 147 compared to his other weights, but it is still respectable. Based on his bout with De La Hoya he has respectable power at light middleweight. The Cotto bout will tell us more though. He also has really long arms, longer than some 6' guys. Mayweather can secude at 154. 160 will be a chalange though.
