With his outburst, will Malignaggi ever get on HBO again?

I think Paulie actually gained fans with his post fight interviews.
I never liked him all that much and after last night I'm thinking, "You know what, he's not wrong". I think they'll put him on TV again, maybe even to set up a rematch with Diaz. I know they are pushing Diaz, but Diaz doesn't seem to have the goods to take himself any further. With last nights drama, there is a built in story for a rematch.

You know what, I still don't get how he still keeps getting big fights. His style doesn't appeal to the majority of the people and he also doesn't have any power whatsoever.
Imo he was lucky to get a fight in hbo in the main event.
I admit Paulie has some skills but he's just not main event material.
With that said, I feel bad for the guy getting robbed.

He keeps getting big fights the way Zab Judah gets big fights. Guy form NY with sort of a name, puts up a good fight but is really beatable.

You just answered your own question right there. He has a name and there's very little risk involved. ****, why not? As far as his potential opponents are concerned Paulie's nickname is "free lunch."

If Paulie generates enough interest in fight fans he sure will get back on HBO...it's all about money for all of them !

Paulie's marketability went way up last night, and having the courage to tell the damn truth is part of that.

If anything I think any controversy which comes from his comments will increase his chances of exposure, especially if there's a rematch with Diaz. TV stations just want viewers, they don't care why they are watching.

Personally,I don't think Malignaggi's style is bad to watch at all,it's quite easy on the eye.Sure your not expecting any knockouts from him,but do people just watch boxing for the knockouts or for the actual skill of boxing?

Yes, I wouldn't be surprised if both Malignaggi and Diaz are in world title fights the next time they're on HBO.
