Oleksandr Usyk after he twice beat washed up Joshua has become a god to many.

That one baffles me, he's so mediocre. Gatekeeper level at best.

The Jerry Forrest win is actually a pretty good win. Jerry has been in with a number of "top" guys and is a good measuring stick. The thing is, I don't think he's as big a puncher as it's being portrayed, but I actually think he's a better boxer than people think.

I certainly can't keep up w/every persons views here, and you're relatively new.
See above. That's fine regarding Frazier.

Yes, Whyte did, and that was a bad loss given Pov's age. But many still consider him a top 10 HW. AJ got stopped by fatso Andy and out boxed TWICE by a former CW. **** happens. AJ is still somewhat of a "darling" to some fans, and considered a top 5 HW. I'm not going to look up Wallin's record but he came close to stopping Fury on that cut. Overall Wallin had a very good showing vs. who still might be the #1 HW today.

Bottom line. I think you were being unfair to Fury. We can agree to disagree, I don't consider recent Whyte or Wallin record padding fighters.
It's all the rage to dump on Fury these days b/c the Usyk fight fell through. I was irritating by that myself. However I'm not going to add to the witch hunt against Fury. If Fury was right in his head I think he beats Usyk on his size advantage. We might still see that one.

It's pretty hard to humble a guy who was pretty humble to begin with. There was no flavor of the month involved with Joe Joyce, he was no hype job, the man has been taking on all comers and beaten all but one of them. He lost to a fast sharp southpaw which has always given him issues, it happens, and there's no grand lesson for anyone to take away from this. He'll take this loss in stride and certainly won't become a pampered coward ducking anyone vaguely perceived as a threat that comes his way. It wouldn't shock me if he goes directly into a rematch or takes on another top 15 guy. Joe Joyce is still a nightmare for anyone not named Oleksandr Usyk or Zhilei Zhang. If he can avoid taking too much damage early against Zhang in a rematch, he can avenge this loss.

Jared Anderson, David Adeleye, Frazer Clarke is my answer to the question.

If there is any lesson in this bout—it's that grit, courage, and willingness to fight the top contenders can heal the crestfallen spirit of the division and the sport in general, result notwithstanding.

Right? At this point the dude might as well go whole hog and make that his nickname. Or for a real power move, pull a Marvelous Marvin Hagler and legally make it part of his name.

Wallin was. Whyte wasn't, he was the mando despite needing a Povetkin rematch to get there. Wallin was a cherry pick like Tom Schwarz that went wrong. He was supposed to be just another big lump with a padded record that Fury was supposed to dominate. This is the thing with Fury though. People in mythical head to head matches only judge how he would do based on his best performances. Fury has had many struggles agaisnt regional fighters and fringe contenders. He's not the head to head monster he's being made out to be.
