I mean if a guy like Martinez.. at age 37... a guy who took up boxing at the age of 20 (!) can rule the division.

According to ESB logic doesn't that automatically mean the division is 'the worst in history' :deal

Don't forget German bum-cherrypicker Sturm being considered a 'force' in this awful division.

It could be bad or it might not but we'll never find out because Douchebella doesn't want him to fight any of those other title-holders for some reason or another and would rather have him fight his stable of Euro-level fighters to make him look "impressive"....but he still struggles with them.

Yeah, it's pretty shitty, alright. They talk about how sorry the hw division is, but the mwts are worse. I don't know how long sergio thinks he has left in the game, but he should stop whinning so much about being small, yet wants to l fight smaller guys. He claims Chavez is ducking him, yet he won't fight Butte or Ward, who would be smaller than Jr., on fight night. Makes NO sense.

Best ex-soccer player that took up boxing, yes, no doubt.

As a trainer I can't stand his style but he still gets it done.

I can see how his style might be displeasing to a purist but you got to admit it that when fighters use the hands down style and use it as effectively as Martinez and Calzaghe do it forces the opponent to go head hunting, in which case they just lean back and counter also giving some leverage in punching power, im quite a fan of his style in all honesty

Just out of interest what are your thoughts on Wards style? :think

Boxing in as a whole has declined in the talent pool.
