it's good cause it's something that should be done in all fights....will it ??? i have no clue but this sure is a step forward....
Its irrelevant BS though, Urine detects most steroids and randomoly doing this has been agreed to, this is going beyond the call of duty. EPO can be taken months in advance and the additional red blood cell count can be used as an advantage, blood taking wont help with this at all Whats the big fuss and this **** is slanderous to the extreme linking Pacs name again and again with steroids totally unfounded !!
theres no reason no to get tested its nt a private company (that neccercerily des the testing )it would be olympic syle I.E the commision employs a idependent compony to perform random drug tests
WRONG a UA often does not detect, you should really look into it first if you really dont know look into it.
This will only be done for this fight. For one it cost money. Most boxer barely make enough to get by. So who's going to pay for the test? If it is not going to be done to every boxer then it shouldn't be an exception to certain fights. The other factor is the multiple organization. Until there is one organization running boxing this will never ever be the norm. You can't have an international sport run by a hundred different agency patrolling this.
Bro Pac has accepted to take three blood tests.those tests with the usual urine tests should be more than enough, what more do they want?do they want the guy to be tested between rounds for fake sake.
I'm afraid your wrong on this when it comes to EPO. EPO In June 2003, WADAs Executive Committee accepted the results of an independent report stating that urine tests alone can be used to detect the presence of recombinant EPO. This report, requested by WADAs stakeholders and commissioned by the Agency to evaluate the validity of urine and blood tests for detecting the presence of recombinant EPO, This content is protected . This report also recommended that urine testing be used in conjunction with blood screening for a variety of reasons, including the cost savings of performing blood screening prior to testing urine. Some International Federations still use both urine and blood matrices for the detection of EPO. Recently, the urine test used for the detection of some new erythropoiesis stimulating agents was adapted for blood testing. http://www.wada-ama.org/
Agree. I have no respect for Floyd as a man or a fighter but should be able to be sure.Roach isn't slipping PEDs in Mannys bowl of rice.. Floyd already accepted the 10 mil per pound request now Pac has to agree to testing.
not roach kush...it would be ariza..he is responsible in pac's camp for what pac eats drinks supplements etc
Someones up to something and I'm sure Old Money May Sr will get to bottom of this I'm just joking. Wasn't Ariza with Balco?
I don't see what the problem is here. Pacquiao agreed to random urine tests whenever Floyd wants and agreed to 3 seperate blood tests 1 the week the fight is announced, one 30 days before the fight and 1 immidiatly following the fight. THis is unprecedented in the history of the sport, no fighter has ever been asked to do anything remotly close to this. I don't see the problem here. I'm no expert on making weight or not but I would think that draning blood from yourself right when you are peaking in your training could weaken you.
