With more than 2 weeks notice Anderson would have beaten Groves....

I thought Anderson was extremely game and felt he was going to knock Groves out in the third. If what you are saying is true, that he only had two weeks notice, then I agree with you.

Whilst Groves came back gamely and turned the fight around to win, I think on this showing DeGale will annhiliate him if they fought in the next six months.

I would like to see that and if Anderson only had two weeks to prepare, then he at least deserves one. He was one hard tough nut until he gassed.

Groves was poor, DeGale would take him apart if they fought anytime soon. Groves legs were gone in the 3rd.

Yes we only had two weeks notice. We were prepairing for quigley on 27th nov.
It was a gamble that nearly paid off but we really needed those extra 2 weeks. We had to drop weight and peak far sooner than planned.
Kenny had just finished 2 weeks sparing with Carl Froch so his ribs were still tender and took effect as soon as the 2nd round.

Kenny deserves a rematch at proper notice then im sure you will see a different result

Full credit to Groves as well he showed real heart

Groves also only had 2 weeks notice, he was preparing for Toney a couple of weeks earlier remember?

Great fight though, really enjoyed it

Surely its got to be easier to cut back on your training for a later date than try to make up for time you don't have when a fight is brought forward?

Given the original dates they were training for I'd much rather be in Groves position than Andersons.

Yeah I guess, but Anderson must have still been in camp for at least a couple of weeks for a fight? At British level that's got to be standard, I can't imagine fighters at that level have 8 week training camps like champs do?

Kenny should have won that fight last night, with regards to notice has kevin said it was a gamble has was groves who i presume would have been at the weight and in peak nick for the fight 2 weeks ago so its a bit of swings and roundabouts.Kenny certainly exposed groves who win lose to either smith or degale imo.

I definitely think Smith would be too much for Groves, would be a good fight but Groves has a lot to work on, I think this fight will help him as long as he doesn't take the attitude a wins a win and let the ego take over, and makes sure he addresses his clear flaws.

How the degale fight goes depends on the smith fight for me, if degale can beat smith I'll say he beats groves now.

hope there's a rematch, I thought Anderson wasn't going to win after he couldn't get Groves out of there, brilliant performance and hopefully he'l get more opportunities under Hatton, probably the hardest domestic weight class just now though.

Anderson was already training for quigley! He took the groves fight at two weeks notice but.......so did groves!! I think everybody is forgetting that! If groves had 8 weeks preparation would he of smashed kenny?
