Imo Anderson boxed to his best and Groves to his worst, Groves will improve where I think Anderson has reached his limit.

Yes it was Groves all over the place, pinned on the ropes but he's allowed to take his count and carry on, Anderson although hurt still on his feet still defending himself, still firing back and the ref steps in???. The ref won the fight for Groves there was 25 sec left of the round, Groves was more badly hurt in that fight than Anderson ever was.

Was waiting on some deluded Groves fan saying that, What you seen last night that's the best of George Groves when he's put on the back foot. That was Kenny Anderson 2 weeks of a fight date, if he'd been 100% then Groves would have been down and out.

i didn't think he was defending himself or firing back at the moment the fight got stopped...

i'll have to rewatch the stoppage if its appeared on youtube yet.

I agree, if Anderson had took even half the punishment Groves took in the 3rd round the fight would have been stopped. I'd love to see a rematch.

Fair dues to Groves for coming back but I think he is unbelievably overrated, I see a brutal knockout in his future.

I don't see what the fuss is. Groves was smart, kept firing back even when hurt and held on when he needed to. Anderson didn't, so he got stopped. He'd done very well till that point, but Groves was landing heavy shots. Those body shots in the fifth and sixth took it out of the Scot.

The barrage that ended it did so because Anderson stopped firing back. Yes, if a little fitter he could have done better. But if he wasn't fully prepared he could have turned it down. He didn't, so he can't use that as an excuse.

I hate this stuff - it ruins a good fight for me. Yes, the stoppage was a little premature, but not unfair. Anderson was taking a beating by that point and he'd failed to take Groves out when he had the chance.

As for what it tells us about a fight with DeGale? Nothing. Anderson's a solid operator with amateur pedigree and underrated power. This sort of stuff takes away from his performance - which I really enjoyed. I look forward to seeing him again and maybe rematching Groves down the line.

    You made me smile too.

Are you Len's wannabe boyfriend or something you sound like your gutted about something

Upset about him laughing at other peoples jokes, can't bare to look at his pictures. Jealous because he likes Kenny. Making up 'pet names' for him. This is starting to get a bit curious.

I agree that Sky and Boxing News referring to Anderson as a 'live' opponent was downright disrespectful when you balance that against the build-up Audley received

Did anyone else think the ref stopped the fight a little too soon?
Groves got put down and was looking hurt taking clean shots, and the ref let it go on, but Anderson took some solid shots, and although hurt wasnt any more hurt than Groves, and the ref stopped the fight. It was right near the end of the round and seeing how well Anderson was doing, I think he should have been given the same opportunity as Groves.
All the same, good fight and great credit to both fighters
