:rofl You're right it is Koji. But for the sheer fact I've been saying it so long, he'll always be Keiji to me

But seriously, I assume he just missed out on your Heavyweight list? Man is a beast, unlucky that he was suddenly struck down by 24 hour M.S against Sturm.

Ishy, I see your point exactly. It's not really worth arguing, past Pac and Floyd 147 is a pick 'em for a variety of reasons. I'd favour Bradley to be adaptable and durable enough to be able to outwork Berto, who would give a lot if oppurtunities for that stiff right hand counter IMO. Anyone with a nice uppercut will also tale Berto out, Id favour Alvarez to land some tasty shots on him and take him out. Bradley to beat him on points in a competitive fight, 115-113.

Cintron-Berto is a logical fight; still pissed it hasn't been made. Berto-Khan is a tricky one; I just lean towards your prediction. Not sold on Berto but his speed and (decent dig) as well as him being bigger, would see him take Amir out IMO. If Khan could use his advantages and pot shot him anything could happen, but I feel he'd be too open and would be too offensive, Berto catches him with something as he goes to pull out withhos hands down and he doesn't recover.

I'm guessing the consensous is that Bradley would make more waves at 147 than Khan? Or not?

On Margo I just don't think he can make the weight. He'd walk through Berto no doubt. Still not sure on Alvarezs toughness against a genuine Elite welter. I'm inclined to say 'if a blown up lightweight like Cotto can buzz him than Toni annihilated him.

    Toni *annihilates him.

I don't see Berto being that imposing on Bradley. In fact, the more he tries to impose himself the more I see Bradley pulling away with it.

Some very good lists lad, good to see it wasn't so hard to fathom.

Surprised people haven't picked apart other peoples lists so much; Berto seems to be the biggest controversy.

How old school are we talking?

Are we assuming that all the fighters are kept active? I wouldn't fancy Vitali's chances if that was the case.

Proof that the talent pool is very shallow atm.

    Aabout Huck-Lebedev...:think
Povetkin of a few years ago I'd have comfortably picked to outpoint Lebedev in a good fight. Nowadays, I think it'd be closer but I'd still favour the naturally bigger man.

I still ain't seen the fight. Was on Holiday when it happened, and still ain't got round to it.

I favoured Lebedev to stop him. Why ddnt he get it done and how did the fight play out stylistically?

I agree. But if Vitali can remain at no.2, Wlad can enjoy a Jack Johnson/Dempsey reign and defend once every couple of years in a 'super fight' when someone managed to beat Vitali I guess  In this time off Wlad will have built up a mystique and the World Heavyweight title fight is an interesting proposition again

In all seriousness, I think Vitali would be fighting two or three times a year against the rest of the best. At his age, wear and tear and with his lack of big power, it's inevitable he'll get outworked soon, thatsomeone will walk right trough his awkward style. It'll happen before long in real life probably, so if he has to fight say, Adamek, Haye (who doesn't have a bauble to sell PPVs with anymore and has to man up) and Valuev, if he does manage to beat those guys he will surely be done physically. He'd also probably just about surpass Wlad whilst not actually being the Champ. Someone like Chambers then faces a shell and beats him.

Then all viable contenders get a chance at no.1 contendership and it's up to Wlad to fight more often and see how he pulls through. His fights would be more engaging if he genuinely held the '1' world title. Out of allthe weights, the glamour division would no doubt benefit the most from one belt.

A mix of hypothetical bollocks AND reality here; an in-shape Solis batters Vitali IMO.

He's not chinny but, at 160, he's not got the mass to take hard shots like he did at 147 and 154. I also think his willingness to ruck has caught up with him a little.

Sergio is a hard puncher who rarely plants his feet or turns his punches over. Against Williams he did and got the result. A clubbing fighter like Pavlik could easily stop Williams on accumulation. That said, even the version that lost to Martinez actually used his jab and timing very well in the middle rounds. His problems with Sergio were through the Argentinian's movement primarily. Williams doesn't really do that anymore.

I'd favour Williams to outwork Pavlik, busting him up by the mid-rounds. Late on Pavlik wouldn't be as effective. Pavlik would land some good shots throughout but I dot think he'd take P-Dub out. Pavlik did some good work at points in the fight with Sergio, but he'll never be right near the top again IMO, everything post-Hopkins was shambolic and he still lost very clearly to a guy he deliberately picked as the 'loser' of the first P-Dub-Martinez fight.

Pavlik very clearly avoided Williams. He got his comeuppance because Sergio, with time to prepare, was a 'proper' middleweight and beat him soundly.

A lot of guys around the eleven stone mark have made waves at 160. Martinez took his new weight class well, and now Sergei is making the move up. These two divisions would merge pretty seamlessly IMO, it's a fairly natural progression for most 'great' fighters that started at 154.

He has massive flaws, I'd favour Pascal to beat him again. I've never been impressed with 'Bad' Chad.

Did you see Huck-Lebedev? Give us a breakdown lad:good

I did see it. From what I can remember, Huck tried to box a lot more conservatively on the back-foot and not his usual marauding caveman style. Lebedev was the more composed and 'ring general', as he took to the centre of the ring and boxed well behind the jab, consistently landing to head and body. Huck had a couple of moments, but I think I had it to Lebedev by 3 rounds and in the RBR the scores varied by about 2-7 points in favour of him (Fat Dan said there wasn't anything wrong with the decision :patsch).

Wasn't the spectacle many were expecting, but obviously has a major talking point and reinforces that Sauerland are corrupt *******s :good
