We would have: Lucian Bute Kelly Pavlik Mikkel Kessler Andre Dirrel Arthur Abraham Andre Ward Carl Froch Allen Green That's eight fighters who are all top-notch and everyone of them could theoretically be the top man in the division two years from now. So moreso than others, but still. It's an awesome division, and with the SuperSix, most of them are actually fighting each other! And on the flipside, the middleweight division has slowed down almost to a stand still.
Rafael's article makes it sound like Team Pavlik is more interested in 175 than 168. - http://sports.espn.go.com/sports/boxing/news/story?id=5180805
It already arguably is, Pavlik coming in and beating a Bika or Stieglitz would only add to the competition.
Honestly Axe, if Pavlik moves up and looks good and if I remember correctly, there was some talk about Dawson moving down, I think it would pass 147 as the best division, what you think?
168 has been hot for the last year or two. But there is too much good competition there. Im not saying Pavlik should retire because he can do what he wants but he will never be the top guy at 168. They will have to manage him carefully otherwise he will take some beatings.
