First of all, this is coming from a long time Brewster fan, so don't lynch me for being a hater, I've been one of the main driving forces behind Brewsters support on here during all the years.

I have to ask, having watched the first fight between Wladimir and Brewster again and again, what the hell happened to Wladimir in there?

Lamon showed true guts and heart by taking a monstrous beating, but I didn't see ANYTHING coming from him that would inevitably make Wladimir unable to stand on his own. Wladimir slumped back to his corner unable to even hold his eyes open, there were some serious concern for his health I remember, just after the fight.

Following HBO statistics, we can see he threw a total of 311 punches in 5 rounds against Lamon the first time out, averaging 62ppr. Then throwing a similar amount (346) in their rematch, averaging a total of 57ppr (6th round stoppage).

Many long time Wladimir fanatics on this board knows I'd be the last one to question any of Brewsters achievements, but what the hell happened?
There is just no way Wladimir gets THAT tired, to the point of not even being able to open his eyes in the corner, after five rounds of relatively normal action for himself.

    Watch Sanders fight.

He was poisoned even faster in that one

No, he was at the end of an iron nine left hand, due to sloppy defense.

Stay on topic please, if you're even going to invest your own time responding to me.

He was putting a beating on Brewster before he fell apart. Boxing is a dirty business, so his claims of being drugged may be valid. Unfortunately, that type of **** is part of the sport & you just gotta suck it up and deal with it.

    Ok.

I think he was overly nervous and anxious to prove himself in that night, what makes you spend your energy in fight a much more faster pace.
When he wasn’t able to blow Brewster away in first couple of rounds, he started to doubt himself and get even more nervous. (Brewster vicious body shots probably didn’t help his stamina either.)

Then after he burned himself out, Brewster finished him.

    That's a respectful post, mate.

I get what you are saying, but I didn't see too many of them vicious left hook to the bodys, perhaps two or three at the most that landed with any authority.

He tasted Brewsters power early, looked to jab and grab, which he couldn't do well, got scared, used up all his nervous energy, which made him tired, got smashed to the body, threw everything with Brew still standing, Brewster landed some big shots, Wlad was out of it and exhausted

May have overdosed on stimulant PEDs - possible

Wlad's skin color and reaction after the fight clearly suggest something other than gassing or just being hit hard. Five minutes after being hit with the kitchen sink by Sanders, Wlad gave interviews in three languages and looked fresh. The Brewster Ko was totally different, Brewster landed no more power shots than Sanders and Wlad looked really ill after the fight. His blood sugar levels were totally abnormal.

Maybe an allergic reaction to a food, maybe some undetected virus. Athletes bonk sometimes for those reasons and it is different from regular gassing or stamina problems. I used to be a triathlete and saw it for myself several times with world - class endurance athletes.

Yes indeed, I agree, the punch output may be the same during both fights but if you look at the first fight, Wlad was a little wild there when he tried to put Lamon away, more force behind the punches saps away his stamina... In the rematch Wlad was more relaxed and calculated, he was not thinking of stopping him but stick to the game plan of jabbing' keeping his stamina more in check.

You see in the 2nd Byrd fight Wlad also tried to put Byrd away after the knockdown but the stopped when realising Byrd regained his composure. He stopped before punching himself out again...

Something was suspicious about it anyway. The letter makes it seem like there was no doubt that he was poisoned, and I tend to agree.
