No he didnt, I thought Toney won the 1st fight but both were close. Toney was a natural middleweight, keep that in mind before trying to elevate Peter into something never was & never will be.

VitKlits numbers are not comparable to those other unique achivements & performances > stats

Since you love stats so much I'm gonna dig up an old post I made...

    Edit: This :yep

Riddick Bowe vs Vitali Klitschko: The Facts

    - Bowe won 98% of his fights, Vitali 96%

    - Bowe was never stopped or knocked out, Vitali has been stopped twice

    - Bowe won all 4 major belts, Vitali has only won 2

    - Bowe won an Olympic medal in 1988 aged only 21, Vitali was thrown out of the 96 games for failing a steroid test

    - Bowe's record against ATGs is 2(1)-1, Vitali's is 0-1(1)

    - Bowe's record against HW world champions is 7-1, Vitali's is 4-2

    - Bowe's record against Olympic medalists is 5-1, Vitali's is 1-1

    - Bowe stopped 27% of his opponents in the 1st round, Vitali 15%

    - Bowe stopped 71% of his opponents inside 6 rounds, Vitali 63%

    Bowe > Vitali

His legacy would be a hell of a lot stronger if he had that signature win against Lewis...

    I have two different rankings:

    All Time Great status

    Head to Head status

All time it is hard for me to really say as I do not like to rank fighters while currently active because there is the unknown of what might happen.

Now, Head to Head he would give ANY of the All Time Greats a tough fight. I AM NOT saying he would beat everyone or even half of the top 10 all I am saying is he would not be a push over for anyone Prime for Prime. Reason? He has an Iron Chin, a very awkward lean back style, height, stamina, and Ring IQ. He would be a nightmare match up for several All Time Greats do to style & attributes alone.

Very good fighter who was unfortunate to suffer several injuries and had to sit out 4 years of his Prime and because of lack of opposition never saw his potential. Like him or not Vitali Klitschko is a bad ass mother****er.

It's a good point that people like RUSKULL will never answer. I doubt he even knows who Matthysse is.

And yet Chris Byrd and Lennox Lewis had no trouble landing at will.

Physical attributes are not as important as technical ability. Vitali has no technical ability whatsoever.

Why should he fight Haye after the disgraceful performances Haye put on against Valuev and Wlad? Why even waste the time? Haye is complete ****. All he does is talk and show up for a pay check. Haye is a nobody at Heavyweight and a waste of time.

Byrd landed absolute nothing on him. Not a god damn thing. Lennox ONLY landed after the cut. Lennox looked like a clown the first two and a half rounds. Kudos for him for winning as it was legit but that cut totally changed the fight. It is part of the game.

Shame Lennox retired and Vitali is still fighting on at 41.

You should watch the Byrd fight again. Byrd was landing at will. He couldn't miss Vitali.

And yes, Vitali was better than a shot Lewis for a couple of rounds. Awesome.

Byrd has no power and was landing nothing but punches on Vitali's arms and gloves. No excuses for the quit job either as Vitali could have literally stood in the middle of the ring the last 3 rounds and let Byrd tee off on him and still won the fight. Good thing Vitali avenged himself with the Lennox fight with half his face hanging off. Victor Ortiz and a few others should take note.

Cuts happen and have plagued several great fighters in History you just have to deal with them. Doesn't mean they can't fight or are not any good.

Are you serious when you say Vitali avenged himself with the Lewis fight? Lewis carved him a new face, embarassed him and was goin to KO him. The only thing he did was lose 2 out of 2 fights against world class opposition :deal

    :lol::lol::lol::lol:

Wow Lennox cut Vitali. Huge accomplishment there. Both of the Klitschko's cut. Henry Cooper got cut in a lot of fights he was winning. So did Jerry Quarry. Was he embarrassed and no good?

Who gives a **** about cuts? Cutting a guy with paper mache skin is no big accomplishment and means nothing.

It was one punch that caused the nasty cut that is NOT carving someones face up Lennox looked like a fool in that fight and was cut on his nose also. Was he no good because Vitali cut him when nobody else could? :rofl:patsch

    No no no
Lewis's accomplishment was not cutting Vitali, it was beating him up and having him hold on for dear life. Vitali may have been ahead on the cards but he was gonna get KTFO. Lewis was old and shot and it is an achievement to cut someone so bad they needed dozens of stitches and had to quit by proxy. :hi:
