How many hall of famers has Vitali beaten? He lost to the 2 best heavies he fought.

Vitali Klitschko is arguably the greatest heavyweight of all time.

I feel David Haye will continue boxing and be a good Hall of Famer in the future.

If Vitali fight Haye (assuming he survives Charr) and beat Haye, it will be very very impressive.

    Good wins by Vitali

    Sam Peter
    Corrie Sanders
    Chris Arreloa

if you throw in David Haye. that will be a good bonus
    especially considering his age.

You know nothing about HW'S, your knowledge is primarily stacked among the midgets and Floyd-Pacquaio discussions.

    Keep it there.

If this were the case than everyone would have Max Schmeling in their top 10 for beating Joe Louis.

All in all, Vitaly should probably rank somewhere around 25. His resume of wins is just very, very weak. All one needs to do is look at the resumes of his competition. Head to head he ranks much better. At least top 15 in my opinion.

Lets try looking at this from a different angle. The international boxing research organization ranks Gene Tunney 11th all time. And while I respect the opinion of the collective historians I simply cannot put him in MY top 20 because outside of the 2 Dempsey fights his heavyweight resume is lackluster. So for those who think Vitaly should be in the top 15, how can you justify it? No career defining wins and he doesn't have a single great win. His career is defined by a loss. He fought a great fight and showed heart...but he still lost.

    H2H?

Vitali is probably slightly ahead of Tyson. Vitali is a top 5 h2h heavyweight.

The main issue with Vitali is there were actually guys out there that he could have fought at certain times.
WLADIMIR fought everyone there is to fight and Wladimir is a top 10 ATG. He will finish as high as top 7 if he continued. Vitali meanwhile as great as he is h2h did not fight a lot of fights that could have happened.

It's not his fault but people have to realize he is 5 years older then Wladimir (41 to Wlad's 36) which means he was ACTUALLY a top contender during the late 90's early 2000's.

There were a lot of fights a mid 20's Vitali could have taken. Tua-Ike-Byrd Rematch, etc. Lewis in 2000 was a long shot, but he could have pushed hard for a Tyson or Holyfield fight.

I don't wanna hear that bull**** about how he wasn't a 'big enough name' in the late 90's early 2000's for DAVID ****ING TUA or Ike or a past prime Holyfield. Holyfield would have fought for hooker blow and 50 bucks a pop.

That being said Vitali have had a great career and is a h2h monster, if he beats a Prime David Haye next year, he will be a border line top 15 ATG at HW (A DIVISION which is severely lacking in depth)
