With Wlad looking for a fight in the States, why not Steve Cunningham?

I mean in theory it should be an easy quick fight to make, could be ready to go within 4 months. He has just sparred with Wlad a few weeks ago so you would think they're on good terms. With Haye dispatched with ease and Adamek, Chagaev, Solis, Povetkin, Valuev, Helenius, Lyakhovich, Chambers, Thompson all tied up or injured that doesn't really leave much. It's basically this or a fight with with Arreola that can likely sell on ppv in the states.

I wouldn't mind seeing this and it would be giving the Yanks something they have craved for years, the possibility of having the undisputed HW champion of the World as well as the man at 2 weights.

    Any takers for this?

Perhaps Wlad could fight Morales instead. Morales is a much bigger name, and Wlad would get exposure to the latin crowd at the same time. It is win/win!

Then he can take on Koki Kameda to win over the asian crowds too. Then Vic Darchinyan to he can have the Australian and Armenian fanbase.

Perhaps he can finish with Nkosinathi Joyi so that he gets exposure in Africa.

By jove, I think you have stumbled across something brilliant!

Honestly makes sense, there is no one better at HW, unless Adamek beats Vitali, its probably the best fight for Wlad.

    Cunningham??

Cunningham is CW and is set at 198lbs. I dont think he has any desire to move up and after Steve getting a taste during sparring, IMO Steve wouldnt take the fight

On a separate note, Cunningham was a true professional and an asset to boxing. He was a pleasure to have in camp. He talked about how much le learned working and watch wlad train. Cool guy

Potentially a more competitive bout than Arreola but USS has less name recognition.

If Cunningham is hyped up properly with some warm-up fights where he weighs 210+, then he'll be a worthy scalp for Wlad's resume and the pay-day will be suitable for USS.

I've read USS wants to move to heavy but who knows what the best road is. If he beats Huck and becomes the man at cruiser then that gives him momentum moving to heavy. But if he loses to Huck he won't look as worthy no matter how many fat heavies he beats up.

Deontay Wilder seems like the only choice, but that would be quite a few years away and many victories and step up in class on Wilder's part.

did he learn how to punch??

The guy has below 50% KO ratio. That's sad for a CW. I hope he fights Frenkel and gets dethroned. He aint getting any better

Wlad would be roasted worse than he ever has.

That would be such a mismatch. :yep

Cunningham looks fragile at cruiserweight. He isn't as durable as Haye, and wouldn't be able to move up to HW as well (although I think he's at least as skilled, if not more).

p4p Cunningham stacks up well against Klitschko but not h2h.

Klitschko vs. Arreola would be a mismatch as well, for a completely different reason.

Cunningham has more skill in his pinky finger than Arreola has altogether.

What's your problem mate? Cunningham is a fine fighter who always fights the best. Who gives a **** about his KO ratio? I suppose you got no respect for Jake Lamotta either, with his abysmal 28% Ko ratio?

Cunningham, like Chef said, is an asset to boxing, and a good champion. Why the hate?

Arreola is a HW contender bottom line with 4 fighst this year.

USS would be in a coffin if he fought wlad.
