Now for me personally, if we have Tim Witherspoon circ 1983, taking on Deontay WIlder, pre Fury, then we could have a classic battle?

If Tim is having one of his better nights he might pull this off. I don’t think Wilder has the ring smarts to figure out Spoons awkward style. Tim also had a pretty good wingspan for only being 6’3” so I don’t think wilder’s height will be a problem. Spoon had a big punch, solid chin and decent defense. Also went 15 round once or twice I think

Witherspoon by KO his overhand right is a perfect weapon against the taller Wilder, Witherspoon also has the better defence, boxing skills, durability.

I see it being a rough old night, for a while for Tim.
He'd really take some power shots. But old school Spoon, proves he had one of the best chins in the 80 s.
By the eleventh round, Wilder s being hurt, caught by Tim's over hand right more often and is ready for the fall.

It would definitely be a hard fight. And no matter what anyone thinks of wilder, that right hand could hurt anybody

It would be. But if anyone can take it from the 80 s it's Witherspoon.

I kinda wonder how a fight between deontay wilder and Tony Tucker would go

I would like to see Pinklon Thomas against Wilder, that would be awesome.

Thomas was the better boxer and we would have to assume that he’s drug free and at his best. That version was short lived though but may have won a decision. Any other rendition of Thomas probably gets KO’d. Pinklon really did look fabulous in earlier fights. His outboxing of a prime Witherspoon was a masterpiece
