Without laughing can anyone here honestly argue that Wlad would beat a prime Tyson?

    No, we don't.

I'm not degrading anything. "Prime" Tyson's resume is not much better imo. But that's not Tyson's fault or Wlad's.

Also imo YOU CAN'T COMPARE FIGHTERS FROM DIFFERENT ERAS.

Today's Wlad and a prime Vitali would give a prime Tyson all he can handle - or more...

Tyson would tear out his rip cage and clip it round his head!

    NO CONTEST!

Tyson was 30 against Holyfield and he peaked as a kid. By that time his ability to bridge the gap was shot to **** and his head movement was gone.

That was not a prime Tyson or a prime Holyfield for that matter!

I think Wlad would **** Wlad up!

Damn that'd be a good fight.

Hey wait, doesn't he have a twin brother or something?:huh

Nope. No way in hell Wlad beats Prime Tyson.

This version of Wlad, post-Manny Steward, would have a much better chance than pre-Manny, but at some point Tyson is going to track him down.

Bonecrusher may not have won a round but he made Tyson look mortal and effectively tied him up time & time, and also showed that Tyson was not the strongest guy in the ring. He was slow and unskilled yet able to take him the distance, a great Template for Wlad to work with. Tucker better than the Wlad of these days? Not a chance. Klit may not be the most pleasing style to watch, but he has plenty of skills.

If men like Quick Tillis, Bonecrusher Smith, Mitch Green and Tony Tucker could make it to the end against Prime '80s Tyson, then a safety-first Wlad has to be given a good chance to do the same. After all, he is stronger than any of those guys, is bigger than those guys, has faster hands and better fundamentals.

What do Tillis, Smith, Green and Tucker have in common? They were all significantly taller than Prime Tyson, and they all fought negatively, causing him to get frustrated and essentially go through the motions after they survived the first 3-4 rounds. None of them tried to slug it out with Tyson, they tried to tie him up and neutralize him.

A Wlad who fights to win rounds and frustrate/wear down Tyson has a good chance to last the distance and win a decision or late TKO. Much lesser fighters than him survived against the mythical prime Tyson.

This is really stupid what you wrote. In that case young prime Tyson knocks everyone out in 1 round including Ali, Holemes and Louis. Boxing is deeper than that.

One could say look Buster Douglas beat Tyson and will anyone argue that Wlad is better than Douglas.

In another thread last night, I argued that current Wlad would beat any post Douglas Tyson.

And I mentioned that current Wlad has all the PHYSICAL tools to beat any version of Tyson, badly.

But he still has Corrie Sanders inside his head, therefore doesn't have the right mental attitude to beat the unbeaten prime Tyson.

Prime Tyson over current Wlad by stoppage between 4 and 9.

Wlad's chin has been proven weak. He has faltered or at least hit the canvas against every puncher he has fought. TOS, Brewster, Peter, Sanders all made him panic and do a nose dive into the canvas, Half of them more than once, and half of them knocked him out.

A prime Tyson had Brewster's chin, Peter's power, and Sanders hand speed, and then some. Wlad does not have his brothers toughness or chin, which is something Tyson would expose right when the first bell rings. Wlad shows fear in fights when his oppenent is on the attack and or aggressive, something a prime Tyson was known for.

Wlad would be an easy win for Tyson, Wlad is made to order for Tyson.

Sure, it's easy to find a few fights that Tyson didn't look as impressive, maybe his off nights. But if you take a prime Tyson, the focused, young ferocious Tyson that was disciplined and had his head on right, wanted to murder his opponent, nobody beats him.

I'm still waiting for someone to tell me who Wlad has beaten, let alone fought, to give him any kind of chance against Tyson?
