Without laughing can anyone here honestly argue that Wlad would beat a prime Tyson?

Oh well in that case if you take a prime Wlad, the seasoned, experienced Wlad who is confident and has his head on right, who wants to win every minute of every round in as safe and efficient a manner as possible, nobody beats him.

    See how that works?

Not really. Wlad on his best night still hasn't fought anybody. Still is a robotic 1 -2 puncher with no real skills.

Prime Tyson never defeated anybody as good as current Wlad.

Prime Tyson is still a bully who got discouraged and went through the motions if the other guy frustrated him. He stopped exactly ONE guy in the 2nd half of the fight. Even in his prime, if he couldn't get you out quick, he would end up losing his ferocity and cruising to a decision. Well, against Wlad, if he does that, he loses.

If Wlad makes it to round six, he likely makes it to the end. And if he makes it to the end, he'll likely win a decision or stop Mike late. Tyson could very well stop a nervous Wlad early, but if Wlad gets past the first 3-4 rounds and settles into his groove, that's bad news for Tyson fans.

Thomas, Tucker, Ruddock, Holmes, Spinks were all better fighters then Wlad.

Tyson wouldn't have to stop Wlad, even though there's a 99.9% chance he would. He could still outbox Wlad and beat him on points, easily. This is a complete mismatch my friend, sorry.

    :patsch

There is no point arguing with you. Pinklon Thomas better than current Wlad? :patsch That says it all. Razor Ruddock? Based on WHAT???

Wlad and Tyson fight 1000 times, and in ONE of those fights Wlad avoids getting knocked out? One out of a thousand.

Quick Tillis, Mitch Green and Bonecrusher Smith only needed one chance to go the distance with prime Tyson, but Wlad can't do it ever. Right.

Go and pull Tyson's dick out of your mouth, then sit down and watch some fights. When you are talking elite heavyweights, a 5'11, mentally fragile man is NOT invincible against a 6'6" athlete who has excellent technique, massive power, very good speed and fights to his strengths.

I got to laugh. I mean are some of you blind? Wlad melts like a snowman in July everytime he's faced a puncher who applies pressures. Prime Wlad went life and death against Sam Peter for christ sakes. Yet, a prime Tyson won't find a way to get to Wlad's glass chin? What a joke, Tyson would get into his head before the bell even rang.

If it was Vitali, I could see Tyson maybe having a tough night. Wlad is just too easy to beat mentally for Tyson, a guy who destroys his oppenents when he smells fear. Something Wlad had coming out his pores against Sam Peter, back in 05.

Better based on the fact that they had actual boxing skills, and faced good opposition. Again, for the millionth time, who has Wlad fought?? You can keep stroking his nuts, but the fact is that he's fought nothing but fatass tomato cans. As the guy above me said, he went life and death with Sam Peter. He got knocked out by Corrie ****ing Sanders.

Tyson mentally fragile? Why don't you come up with something new. When did Tyson show he was mentally fragile in the ring prior to 1997? Give me an example.

And a mentally fragile Tyson still kicks the **** out of Wlad. The same Wlad who by the way can't handle pressure and can't pull the trigger against bums.

Wladimir Klitchko is not that good!!!! He is the beneficiary of a weak HW division!!!!!!!!

Guys like Arreolla, Chambers ect....... would never last from the 60's - early 90's!!!!

Boxers from those era's had the heart and will to win!!!!

Oh right, so the Wlad who fought Peter was prime, right?

I guess the undefeated 24 year old Tyson who got the living **** beaten out of him by journeyman nobody Buster Douglas counts as prime too then, huh?

To all you who says that Wlad is mentally weak -
You all are delusional. He got up every time in Sanders fight. He overcame hard loses to a lesser fighters(something that tyson failed to do), he got up 3 times(even though 2 out of 3 was due to push but not a punch) against Peter. What more do you need? And he is ****ing massive these days

Tillis, Smith, Green and Tucker all had vastly better chins than Wlad.

Wlad who fights to survie for 12 rounds like those guys, MAY see the distance and lose a lopsided fight just like they did.

A Wlad who tries to win rounds against a prime Tyson, doesn't see round 4.

Have not read the whole thread but prime Tyson KO's Wlad within 3 rds, and would have the fight won before the bell.

Wlad aint mentallt strong enough and would be scared of the, at that time "Baddest man on the planet".

Can you imagine a big mouth like David Haye walking up to Tyson in the middle of a sopping centre, talking **** to him in and basically abusing him in front of the tv cameras? No way, and if he did i seriously doubt he would leave the shopping centre any other way than on a stretcher!

I watched that vid again yesterday and still cant believe Wlad let him away with that ****.

Anyway, back to Tyson - Wlad, if Klit fights cautious and doesnt let hands go against light punching and lets be honest, pretty limited guys such as Brock, Austin, Chambers etc then a young prime Tyson wins no problem at all.

I am not a Klit hater by the way.

Wlad was 28 or 29 years old, had Manny in his corner for almost 2 years at that time. He had 40 fights under his belt and was a former WBO champ.

You want to call Tyson out on that fight, throw in Wlad's losses to Sanders and Brewster. Who were also journeymen at the time. I dont remember Tyson ever being knocked out in 2 rounds. Wlad's glass chin and lack of toughness when things get rough. Wont bode to well for him against a prime Tyson. Vitali I could maybe see hanging in there all 12th rounds, but Wlad doesn't have a snowball chance in hell with his chin.

    Crap he did.

He overcame losses to fighters by having his brother beat them up. He could have rematched Purrity or Sanders, but didn't.

He didn't overcome his losses, he avoided them.

ANd stop making excuses for the Peter fight. He got knocked down CLEAN three times.

But I do give him props for coming through in that fight. It has probably been his best performance of his career.
