Without laughing can anyone here honestly argue that Wlad would beat a prime Tyson?

    2 Points.

1-If he worries about getting hit by Peter then he pisses his pants against Tyson.

2-Agree that to many folk have this image of Tyson being all conquering and invincible, i watched him since he was young and im old enough to know that Tyson also had weaknesses, but **** me he was bloody good to watch and when was the last time you can say a heavy was famous all over the world due to the excitement he created?

I would say that 5'11" Tyson has great power, very fast hands, and stubby little arms that will have a hell of a lot more trouble reaching 6'7" Wlad's chin than 6'4" Sanders did.

Tysons footwork and head movement would get inside and allow him to nail Wlad.

I would rather say I walked into a huge punch early in the fight before I got into my groove and that was my one mistake that cost me the fight.

Rather that than say "I couldn't get anything going against this boxer-puncher, he put a lot of hurt on me and clearly won most of the rounds. He was heading to a wide UD when I landed one uppercut that dropped him for 3 seconds, that annoyed and refocused him and after that he beat my ass worse, knocking me out with yet another brutal combo in the 10th."

 Come on Haggis, it did a little more than annoy him. If there was 15 seconds more in the round Tyson would of finished him off or the ref would of just stopped it. Tyson got a beatdown that night, but he did have a moment or two when he had some success and almost pulled out a victory with his power on a bad night. I'm not going to take anything away from Buster, but Tyson had everything go wrong for him that night. From his terrible cornermen to the fact he barely trained for that fight. Unless you consider him banging 30 jap bitches in a weekend. Tyson even said it himself, he was Godzilla to these people.

Shows heart, chin and balls to be able to take a beating like a warrior rather than fold like origami.

**** he took prime Lewis's best shots for 8 rounds and imo that showed his heart considering he was well done by then.

Buster was dropped (after winning the round up till then), smacked the canvas with his fist in visible frustration, and got up. He was obviously buzzed, but his mind was clear and he was perfectly aware of what was going on. The bell saved him from Tyson's followup attack, but he came out for the next round and picked up right where he left off, driving Tyson back into the ropes with a series of right hands 30 seconds into the round.

Douglas schooled him. Sure he got KDed but that was against the run of the fight, and the round after was Douglas' best up till that point. Five minutes after the KD, Mike was getting the 10 count.

Totally agree. Buster getting put on his ass was totally against the run of the fight and like you say he came back and won the next round.

Tyson took a beating that night, he may not have trained properly etc but look at him on the night of the fight, its not as if he came in like a fat blob like heavys these days. He was still his usual weight for the time.

Fair enough, but with more time left in that round I feel Tyson would of probably took him out and maybe changed the course of history. Then again, if it wasn't Buster, maybe it would of been someone else. As Atlas once said "The writting was on the wall". Fighters like Tyson come around only once, I'm just happy I could say he fought during my teen years. It's too bad that magic isn't there anymore at heavyweight, it was once something special.

tyson. he would easily slip those slow jabs, and 1-2s. If wlad doesn't go down by round 5, i'll give him the edge

I don't think it would be a laughing matter to explain it. If Wlad could stay outside and throw that jab past 6 rounds it is very likely he WOULD beat Mike Tyson. I also think it is more likely that Tyson would stop him in 6 or less.

Right now both Klits are pushing the limits on size. Guys that have fought "tall" or at "range" their entire careers are dwarfed and their style is nullified. You can't get to the big show and not be able to use your "bread and butter".

Other than men of equal size, I think only a Tyson or Frazier type could beat them.
