This thread is made with the assumption he for sure took peds. He was always a guy who was in shape and who worked hard. Very unlike many heavyweights who came in overweight and undertrained. Look at the 1980s and one fighter who symbolized the typical 80s fighter. Tony Tubbs. Or Witherspoon, who was good but inconsistent. Evander working hard and always fighting that top level gives him an advantage. He was always a mentally strong fighter.

Of course not. Posters assuming he would've done better without them don't know what steroids are. And never took them either, obviously.

No he was 137 Wass. Eddie Murphy corrected himself twice. And note that he merely added a neat 100 years to reality!

But there is NOT decent evidence about how many/what percentage used.
And who dabbled or who rebuilt their physique with it.
There is no real evidence Tyson used PEDs.
Saying he may have can apply to anyone. His behavior & size & problems from very young show you need not have drugs to account for him.

    I agree with InMemoryofJakeLaMotta.
He loses most of all of the biggest fights at a max of 190.
The bulk & strength & punch resistance is more important than speed & work rate.
Especially for an unreformed, habitual, though Heroic brawler like Holyfield.

Other way around. Bowe was too big and too good.

Tyson weighed less than 200lb aged 17, in less than a year he was weighing upwards of 220lb. Those vitamins in the Catskills must have been some good ****......

Well that`s why Holy being bigger but more nimble in the rematch was a plus, he stated that was the fight that taught him how to beat Tyson.

Do you think other boxers could have developed Tyson`s awesome neck with the same pills, come on the guy was naturally big.

Also Louis did better v Marciano than Holy might have done at te same age.

He put on a lot of weight in the Bowe rematch compared to there first fight and his power was far better, he completely man-handled Tyson, he never seemed that powerful before, his punches didn`t look that hard v Foreman at all.

He shows over developed traps, and has been linked to mulple PED busts. From the evidence I've seen, he's as likely to have been clean as Lance Armstrong
