The kid is simply reading the book that Floyd wrote. He is putting himself in a position to take the ball and run with it when Floyd calls it a career. That is smart business. People are simply falling for the same trap that Floyd has been setting up for years. I am amazed at how easy it is to get people to hate you. It is so obvious he is using his own version of the same Money May tactics and yet people are falling for it hook, line, and sinker.

The kid hasn't done anything in his career yet and look how much attention he is getting.

 

I really don't see that much of a parallel between him as Floyd; there's some similarities, but not to the extent people are making out.

He is more aggressive, and not as defensively refined. . . Doesn't have the Ring IQ Floyd has. At least at this point. . .

Also, he seems a lot more "happy," and laid back than Floyd. . . Not as defensive - Floyd is always on the defensive all the time. . Not as insecure.

I don't like how people use the Floyd comparisons. Floyd doesn't ask his father to brush his hair. Floyd doesn't dance in the ring. Floyd doesn't rap his own entrance songs either. Broner's style may be similar as far as his approach when going in range to look to counter but I have yet to see Broner's inside fight game or fighting off of the backfoot. Broner is selling himself and by the looks of the attention he's getting, Broner won! Now the haters can pay to see him lose like they pay to see Floyd lose.

 

Broner's a good fighter with tremendous talent.What he should do is make the hatred he gets into P.P.V,he can make tones of money from the haters. His character needs a bit of polishing though but he could remain this way and create so many haters.

I've seen many Filipinos saying Donaire would whoop Broner's face so I guess the hatred is from Filipinos mostly and some Latinos who I've seen spitting at Broner as he walks to the ring..

I like Broner,the kid will rule

 

their only similarities is that theyre black and cocky. other than that, the similarites end.

hell, they might as well say almost all black people want to be floyd in that case . i know pleanty of broners.

 

I can't pull up the YouTube vid but I will admit I'm not his biggests fan he borders the thin line of arrogance that I'm not a firm supporter of, I enjoy watching a confident fighter and even absorbing the antics surrounding them but this different it's irritating nothing close to the way Floyd would strut along or Nas flying on carpets those dude where unique and I accepted them but for some strange reason this boy just rubbs me the wrong way. Maybe I need sometime for him to grow on me....

I just see a lot hypocricy here. The same that hate on canelo and other hyped fighters support and defend broner.

 

Boxing is filled with haters. Chavez jr is still getting hate, despite him stepping up and giving us something to look forward to watching

 

The Chavez JR hate is dying off due to finally stepping up, when Broner does the same his hate will die off overall, some people will hate even worse, I just hate the opnion that he is the second coming of Jesus, it's ridiculous.

 

I know plenty of people of my race, some boxers too, that are more like Gary Russell Jr., Andre Ward, SRL, George Foreman, Joe Louis etc. than those of Floyd, Broner, Hopkins and Tyson type personalities.
