    Well said!

Hatton would fight Malinaggi then some US tv star and then retire. Witter probably will fight Malinaggi after Hatton retires (within a year he plans).

I agree and disagree - MANY observers thought Paulie lost his last bout and that is why they are having a rematch - and if Paulie looks like the garbage he did in the first fight but still "wins" - they will most likely go on with a Hatton/Paulie fight - you have Witter looking like **** against Bradley, but his career is over while Paulie will be rewarded

A double standard at it's best.

The fight was on prime time on ITV and against an opponent 95% of boxing fans didn't know. Of course he ****ing blew his shot! He needed to come out, look fantastic and stop Bradley in about 8 rounds. Instead, he looked lethargic and uninterested. If he had created some excitement a fight with Hatton may have happened. This was Witter's big chance to create some hype to force a fight with Hatton, in the same way Hatton did with Mayweather with his crushing win over Castillo. But Witter didn't capitalise on that. He blew it big time.

He has more or less blown his chance at making the Hatton fight for the forseeable future. It's not impossible that he may get to fight Hatton down the road, but if he wants Hatton when a win over him would mean something, then he needs to get back inn the ring as soon as possible. It's not as if he took a beating last night. He could be back in the ring within 3 months and maybe have another fight before the end of the year. Witter just has to make sure he keeps his focus on who he's fighting and stop thinking of Hatton.

He should get Hennessy to make an offer to Kotelnik or Torres.

That loss just cost Witter about $2-3 Million, if i was Witter i'd be getting a chair, a rope and call Hatton to kick it out from underneath me!!!

    Here's the problem for Witter:

    1) He's getting old

    2) He fights a fan-unfriendly style

    3) The guy he wants has a ton of lucative options

In short, he's ****ed. The only way he'd have gotten that fight is if he'd fought his way into the spot, and the British public had demanded it. Now, he has no chance of getting the bout at all.

Maybe Witter's recent loss gets him the shot with Ricky Hatton ?
    He didnt look so good.
Hattons people may want to make the fight.

Don't bet on it - remember the "don't want to give him the payday" line. Besides, Hatton has plenty of other better, more lucrative things to do.

point is witter was a good fighter but isnt a position that he can recover his "stock" after a loss the same way say hatton, hops, odh can...

worse still....he lost to a no name....people car less now then they did before about him fighting Hatton....sad but true.....

To all the uninitiated - that was the other side of Junior Witter.

Against Harris he really looked the business, whilst in the Bradley fight he looked lazy, disinterested and was well beaten.

On that performance, any top 10 LWW would have beaten him. I think his days at the top table appear to be over.

He had his big chance to impress and get a big fight (possibly Hatton) but blew it big time. His only chance is to have a rematch and KO Bradley - but I don't see it happening, Tim appears to have his number.

I underestimated Bradley, expecting him to be KTFO in six.

    Credit to him though.

witter hasnt blown his chance. he will get another title shot BECAUSE he lost. he's now been beaten, exposed, figured out, whatever you want to call it. because he was a champion he'll get another high profile fight. that's what happens. former champions make good opponents simply because they have lost and their aura has been burst. in terms of getting other 'names' this is one of the best things to happen to witter. before he was incredibly awkward and powerful and few people would rush to get in the ring with him. now he's beatable which is going to make him a much more attractive opponent.

remember witter's opponent before bradley? harris, former champion who was embarressingly ko'd but he got another title shot
