By Shaun Brown Former world light-welterweight champion Junior Witter (37-3) is hoping to make his first return to the ring in over a year on December 17 in Canada. The 36-year old who last fought in his defeat against WBC light-welter champion Devon Alexander in August of last year may be making his comeback on the eve of the light-heavyweight showdown between Jean Pascal and Bernard Hopkins. “Nothing’s been announced yet but I am hoping to be out before Christmas at welterweight over an 8 or 10 rounder. We’ll just need to see how things fall.
