A decent shoowing in this fight can still do him a load of goood and set up other fights whether he wins or loses. Witter can not affford another performance like he had against Bradley. Hopefully he wins and puts himself back into the frame for fighting for the title and even a decent loss could get him a Khan fight.

    Good point.

It's a blow if there is no title on the line but it's still a good opportunity for Witter to get himself back on the radar. I wish him all the best and hope he comes away victorious.

Anybody any idea what time (UK) the coverage will be starting? Looks like it will be the DAB Radio this weekend!

Everybody is guilty of wanting where possible, only their own to work, particularly in these hard times. Why should California be any different?

The State is on the verge of going bankrupt, people are losing their job left right and centre, so why should California not give an American or Mexican judge a job?

I think we are getting a little to high on our horses here. I remember foreign World Champions coming to this country, and putting their title on the line when the sole judge was the British referee...

Khan is not in line for the WBC belt. What was ruled is that the winner of Alexander vers Witter is to face the winner of Ajose versus Ionut.

I feel more sorry for Alexander if this is true. Also I thought Don King was well in with the WBC.

The fight means very little without a belt to be honest.

I think that there is a value in this fight especially if Alexander wins as a defeat will remove Witter from contention which in my view is probably not a bad thing. I don't think he is getting any better.

If the fight isn't sanctioned I don't think that Witter will turn up :deal

If the belt is not on the line I don't see why Witter would take the risk. Unless he feels he can blast Alexander out early what is the point at this stage in his career? It is not a massive payday and a win will mean little compared to the damage that will be done if he gets another loss on his record.

No belt then no show has to be the sensible option?

The WBC surely can't be this stupid. I think there's just about enough time to get this sorted:think.

My thoughts exactly. Witter is completely within his rights to pull out, IMO.
