It just becomes two contenders fighting it out. It means nothing. Even if Alexander wins then he has nothing with which to negotiate with because he has no belt.

Neither of these fighters have other fighters really wanting to fight them. I think they both need a belt.

I just read don't be suprised if the fight get's called off.The WBC want neutral judges like the Witter Bradley fight when they were from Italy Mexico and Germany. Now for this fight it's 2 from America and 1 from Mexico

What I can't understand is why has this cropped up at the eleventh hour? All the details regarding judges, refs etc would have been agreed at the time contracts were signed...surely King wouldn't have a hand in this would he?

    It does seem odd.

Does it really matter WHO the judges are?

Who really cares - all they have to do is put 10 in one box and 9 in the other.

Unless your name is Dave Parris, Michael Alexander or Eugenia Williams the task is remarkably easy IMO.

If this fight is not for the WBC title come tomorrow night then both fighters have been really let down in my opinion. :barf

If both camps agree, then there is no problem is there?

It's all been sorted out, the WBC belt is back on the line.

Weigh in should be any time now I believe.

**** the belts, everyone who knows the sport knpws they mean **** all.....it's the frauds like Hatton who attach weight to them. Belt or no belt, true boxing fans know who the top dogs are in the divisions....and Witter is certainly one of themm at 140.
