Despite my earlier concerns Witter looks in great shape (other than that mark under his right eye), doesn't look drained at all...i'm more confident than ever that we will see a decent performance come saturday night.

When he's drained he goes a funny grey colour and looks generally out of sorts. In the photo he looks fine, focussed and ready to roll...come on my son :thumbsup

I'm not sure whether you're taking the p1ss here, but the reason why the belts mean nothing is mainly due to the amount of lemmings (like the ones on this site) who go round mindlessly repeating "the WBC is the most prestigious belt" like a parrot rather than thinking for themselves. The truth is anyone who knows the sport knows that whilst it's an intriguing contest, the winner of this bout will be nothing more than a paper champ. Say what you like about Hatton but at least he was fighting for the true, linear title in all but one of his world title contests (that one being Collazo).

The WBC is the most prestigous no getting away from that but it doesn't add to its present day value in any way.The champion makes the belt, not the other way round.

JW is under no illusion that this is the last chance saloon...he was stung by the loss to Bradley, a fight that he knows he would have won handily if he had bothered to get out of 3rd gear, he won't make the same mistake again. This is all about getting another shot at Bradley (if he gets past Nate) and financial security for his family which is motivation enough for a man who is as single minded as Witter. In a TV interview a couple of weeks ago he looked quite drained, but the weigh-in shots have restored my confidence, he looks as good there as I have seen him in a long time.

Witter and Bradley both look well ripped..,

I imagine there was a bit of needle between the pair of them.
