I honestly reckon you're selling Bradley a bit short there. That fight is not the first time we've seen Witter look lethargic when he can't get rid of someone early and they put the pressure on him in the mid-late rounds. All begs the question is it truly that he is being lethargic or does he just not fight too well under pressure? I think Bradley was a bad style matchup for him, but after seeing Bradley struggle v Holt would give him a chance in a rematch, however, only if he comes out more aggressively and with more devil in his work - preferably for more than a couple of rounds. Tonight's fight has echoes of Bradley, a little known American prospect who seems well schooled but a bit lacking in the power department (I'll hand it to him, dropping Witter is impressive, but he is more of a consistent workhorse). Just peed off we're not gonna get to see it.

Anyone who has seen Witter over the years will be able to tell you what sort of performance you are going to see before he gets in the ring. As soon as I saw Junior that night I knew he was going to lose...he either turns up ready for it, or completely disinterested and that is what is frustrating about being a JW fan. Tonight is a different kettle of fish for Witter, he is fighting in the last chance saloon for the title rather than just defending it against a fighter like Bradley who he would beat 99/100 if motivated. Don't underestimate his desire to avenge the Bradley defeat and also secure his families financial future, this will be motivation enough for him to turn up with bad intentions...I can see Witter finishing Alexander in 5 or 6

Bold prediction. I hope you're right. :good

Do you have any inside knowledge on Witter's typical earning level? I did hear around £60k bandied around for the Corely fight and would have thought he would have matched or exceeded that for his three defences especially Harris as he is known in the game. Whilst he's obviously never earned the huge money that more mainstream UK fighters have I would doubt he's on the poverty line.

I was curious about how Witter has done out of the sport, I know he's never been real 'box office' but to fight at level he's fought for that number of years I'd hope he'd be financially secure (or close to it!).

I've no idea what he earns to be honest but as you say he isn't on the bread line. Having said that, when your career is over as a fighter you have a long time to live without a payday....at 35-36 its a bit late in the day to be learning a different trade

He could always be a pantomime villian?
