There is no credible reason for Hatton not to fight Witter in his fight after Lazcano. Forget Mallifaggi, Witter is number 2 in the division and has the WBC belt.

I agree! Whats the poin in paying to see a glorified sparring session. Lazcano is no threat and thats why hes there, to get beat up. Hatton fans say this is a confdence builder, well he could really build his confidence by winning a title from one of the other title holders, but no Hatton wants to fght a bum becuase hes scared of taking another challenge.

Of all of the current British boxers Hatton has pretty much the best resume. ie he has taken on the biggest challenges.

Bruno. He fought a prime Mike Tyson in 1989 and had him hurt in round 1! Honeyghan went to america and beat P4P champ D.Curry. There are others!

Current boxers? This is nonsensical. If you meant active boxers then you should have said so.

Cotto, Corley, Baldomir, Witter, Mayweather at 140, Judah, Mosley all fights Hatton has had the chance where he has turned it down.

The point is that Hatton should keep up his tradition of taking on big challenges and not setup fights with Lazcanos only because he knows there is no chance of him getting beat. This is not honourable !
