"I think he'll get beat quite convincingly," Witter informed Setanta.

"It'd be good for British boxing if he can do it but, realistically, he's been knocked out by a decent puncher at lightweight and now he's moving up to light-welterweight, where people are bigger and hit harder.

"Kotelnik is not a one-punch specialist but he's very accurate and is good at his job. He studies opponents, finds weaknesses and tries to exploit it.

"Amir Khan's weak spot is his chin.

"I think he'll have difficulty for the first three rounds getting to Amir but then knocking him out somewhere around the middle of the fight.

For once I would say I am inclined to agree with Witter...... not really seen enough of Kotelnik to stick my house on it though.....

It seems people are almost programmed to say *Khan's opponent* by KO by default these days!

    There's a reason for that.

  4. I think he has a great point.

Who's your money on? If I had to bet I'd bet on a Kotelnik stoppage win.

Kotelnik will land at some stage, and he will stop Khan IMO.

If not, Khan by controversial decision, Kotelnik is a decent operater.

I like the fact at least people are not saying 'this is a easy fight for Khan' and 'Khan should win this fight'. This is a 'real test' for young Khan and one what will show us what this kid is all about.

Fighting a full-blown Light Welter-weight World Champion, from fighting mostly blown up Super Feathers is a great jump, and Frank and Khan deserve respect for making and taking this fight.

I hope Khan wins but it will not be easy, he has to fight a perfect fight and I am sure Roach will come up with a good plan.

Roach can have all the plans in the world, he's a guy sat in the corner. If Amir gets hit on that chinny chin chin its over!!

Hold on, Junior didn't mention Hatton once during that.
Are you sure it was really him?

Like I said, lazy choice....every one of Khans previous opponents have found his chin (other than Graham Earl) but only one has been able to finish him.

This featherweight **** gets old very quickly given that its just not true.

Witter's fight picking in recent times has been abysmal so I would take what he says with a grain of salt.

Yeah, i agree with you, this is by far his biggest test so far. I'm not 100% sure about this, but i could swear Kotelnik is an olympic medalist, think its a silver medal he holds too, so he's a very good boxer. Plus he's yet to be stopped with points losses to two very good opponents.

In actual fact, come to think of it, i think Khan should be a major underdog in this contest, fair play to him.
