I think that the boxing public overreact to good wins and bad losses. Other than the win over Harris, Witter hasn't beaten a top 5 LWW contender, all of a sudden he is better than Ricky Hatton, who has been the best LWW for the past three years! He is a good fighter, but thats all.
Hes always been better than Hatton, thats why from 1999-2008 Hatton has avoided him despite it been an easy natural fight to make and Witter calling him out the whole time
stop talking such shite. Hatton claims as part of his excuse not to fight Witter that Witter is a fighter with low profile.....so how can he be overrated if he has no profile? You can't have it both ways.
Utter rubbish. Witter has more natural talent than Hatton, but Ricky has made the most of his ability in the ring to achieve what he had. That is not up for debate. Witter, on the other hand, well..........hasn't. A very talented fighter with awkward style, has done very little to endear himself to both fight fans and casual fans, thus ensuring a much lower profile. Also, his performances in the big stage have, generally, left quite a lot to be desired. I would back Hatton to beat Witter any day of the week.
15 stoppages and some which were Ko's In a row, he Is an exellent counter puncher who Is the much more talanted fighter than Hatton. Not his fault his previous opponents go Into survival mode when he hits them. What Impresses me? His reflexes and counter punching. [yt]BjtA6pGYp9Y[/yt]
15 stoppages in a row? Against who exactly? Most were 6 or 8 rounders against people who had been knocked out by pretty much everybody!
When Witter easily KO's Hops little nephew I hope he screams out Hatton's ducking him. Some of those Ko's were against Euro level light welters. He's was the first to drop N'dou and KO'ed Harris so he can do the same on world level.
I have not seen Witter since he acted like a ***** against Judah as such he stays with that impression on me, until he does something to prove otherwise.
Oh, yes, and Lovemore N'Dou is a brilliant fighter, isn't he? Vivian Harris has been KO'd by Carlos Maussa. This is the same Carlos Maussa who was going to defeat Ricky Hatton (according to many), when in actual fact he lost seven of the first eight rounds before being stopped in the ninth!
Witter has some talent. Looked good beating one good opponent. Beat lots of nobodies looking good, bad and indifferent in the process. Underrated by a lot of Hatton fans. Massively overrated by Hatton haters (seriously guys, it's pathetic). Rated fairly as nothing more than a pretty good belt holder by the non-bias majority
