The switch hitter would definitely beat the magic man. Malignaggi was hit cleanly way too often by Hatton for me to not believe that Witter's awkward style of throwing punches from all directions wouldn't get the job done against him.

I think Witter would win easily.

Even Hatton said so, in an interview with Boxing Monthly - the May 2008 issue I believe.

bigreg had this sewn up from the start.

paulie is an absolutely horrible fighter going into the hatton fight off the back of two highly questionable decisions against low grade fighters. easy to tag and an incredibly limited arsenal consisting of a jab and a step in one-two (when his hand is working).

    witter messes him up.

I think Paulie is mostly judged by his effort in the Cotto fight which is, on reflection, not a good yardstick as Cotto was weak at the weight and struggled to close the fight in the later rounds.

I don't think Paulie is a bad fighter, it's just the elite at this or near this weight would dominate him but he can still be champion and make a good fight of it against the others, Kotelnik for example should be winnable for Paulie.

Unless Witter can knock him out early, this deteriorates into a long and boring fights.

And we know what happens when Witter gets in long, boring fights. He loses concentration, his power fades and his punch output plummets.

People who think that Witter wins easily just because they see him as having a better arsenal probably didn't endure Witter v Lynes or Witter v Kotelnik.

Malignaggi is better than Lynes or Kotelnik. It would probably be a close points decision either way. If the fight was in the US I'd favour Malignaggi.

Well i think so.That`s a rematch that should happen.Just because Bradley had him decked in the 6th,a fight he rightfully won,it was no landslide points victory or total battering.A rematch is only fair.

The problem is Witters stock has dropped and from Bradley's perspective, there's better fights out there for him. Maybe not the right thing to do on such a close decision but hey, boxing is business.

Judging by some of the other posts and threads made on this forum Bradley has become one of the most overated fighters out there. He only narrowly beat a badly off form Witter, who'd just found out his Dad was terminally ill the week before. I think the rematch should be made and Witter would definately get his belt back. Witter - Malignaggi could be interesting but Malignaggi needs to rebuild himself after Hatton so i hope it's not made for a while.
