PBF is also not a natural WW so stop kidding yourself on this issue. If WW was such a problem then why is Hatton once again tumpeting a PBF fight (besides the money) cus PBF will not come down to lww ? Why dont Hatton stop bitching and being a media ****** and face the big boys.

I myself would like to see a fight against Witter but more so I would like to see him face Judah (I am sure Judah would come down to lww if a couple $100K were dangled in front of him). I can see a well motivated Judah doing a complete number on Hatton (more so than PBF).

The fight will not happen and the reason is simple economics. Hatton can lose to the likes of PBF again and HBO and co will still pay him big bucks for fights. If he loses to Witter, HBO execs will begin to see that Hatton is not the golden boy and begin to back away.

Witter going after Kotelnik again is a good idea . You can have the smallest fanbase in the World but with two out of the four World titles that people like to recognize(WBC , WBA) you will gather attention and people wanting to fight you .

The proof he called them out? His promoter Henessey tried to make fights with them if you follow the boxing news its well documented.

Ever heard of a fighter called Charles Burley he was a wleterweight at the same time as Sugar Ray Robinson and was probably as talented but Sugar Ray ducked him. Burley went up in weight to fight the best fighters at middleweight and got beat because he was too small. But he beat better names than Sugar Ray Robinson but never got the glory.

Your comparison between Burley and SRR holds no weight as Witter hasn't beat better names than Hatton.

 

Why does every thread turns into the same lame debate? Going back to what the original thread was about personally I'd like to see Witter clean up the other belts. I except Witter Hatton isn't going to happen this year so if Junior could pick up another alphabet it would improve his standing. If Kotelnik isn't keen Torres is an option.

 

Fighting welters takes away his advantages BUT he is willing to do it to establish himself.

Head-Head Witter is a top P4P fighter, better than Hatton at any rate and he would beat many of the fighters hes

Hes already beaten Kotelnik afterall (Current WBA Champ) and Ndou (IBF champ) and Harris (WBA Champ) and Corley (WBO Champ). Any of the champs he gets in with he beats, the other champs don't want a piece of that, but maybe someone will grow some balls

 

If NDou beats Malignaggi Witter will hold one of the titles and hold victories over the other two champions.

 

The simple fact is that Witter vs Hatton is the best fight at light welter weight with the two posible best performers. Us the fans deserve to see such big fights. Any excuses for the fight being put off or not happening are a disgrace to all boxing fans.
