We can compare resumees, talk about Hatton having bigger fish to fry, Witter not having earned it etc, etc.

But I think that deep down we can all agree, Hatton haters & lovers, Witter haters & lovers, that this big domestic battle is the one we really want to see.

    Hatton - Lazcano (**** tune-up)
Hatton - Paulie M (could be a decent fight, but Paulie's claim to fame is showing some balls, and giving a good account of himself in a loss against Cotto).
Hatton - Mayweather II (we'd all watch, but would the result be any different from from the first contest...**** no!).

Hatton v Witter is the fight real boxing fans in the UK wants to see, if for different reasons.

A thread has been started saying Witter's record proves he deserves a fight with Hatton based on fighting 4 former world champions in his last 6 fights.

But Hatton's last 6 fights being against 4 current world champions, the #1 contender and the #1 p4p...

And I'm the one with blinkers on? I can't see the wood for the trees?
You are actually deluded, sad people.

Sleaze, look at Hattons record before Kosta please.

Tell me with a serious face that Ricky was more deserving then than Witter is now?

Youre deluded to a ridicuous point if you can't see this.

If we forget the last 5 years then I think Hatton-Witter would have been a really nice fight to see. That's when it should have happened.

Unfortunatley for Witter, the last 5 years did happen. And Hatton has topped everything he's achieved since, by a lot.

Yep. The last 5 years culminated in Hatton getting exposed as a dud at top level by Mayweather.

Who is comparing records? Witters record speaks for itself.

Hatton needs to step up. Stop defending it.

Hatton has now made a habit of vacating the IBF, goign to 147 and then coming back for it.

He should try new things like the WBC title which he has never owned. His number 1 challenger who has called him out for about EIGHT YEARS. Another world class showdown like Enzo-Haye.

He needs to stop depriving us.

Hatton-Witter sells 100k in Wembley and gets an audience of god knows how many on prime time TV at 9.30 or something.

    Hatton-Witter is a REAL FIGHT!

He was exposed by the best fighter in the world as not being a welterweight.

He is still unbeaten at 140, and the best in the world there.

He still got exposed. All that hard work to then realise you are average. The only reason he has come back down to light welter is because he know's just about every top 20 welter can beat him.

Guys ****ing deluded. Who honestly gets excited about Lazcano and Malignaggi or even Pacquiao? Hatton wins them all easily, woohoo. Witter is a genuine 50/50 fight, and its a ****ing crime it ain't happening, and the worst thing is his dumb ass fans that settle for it and rehash his lame excuses :-(

Ricky admitted that he ought to have known after the Collazo fight that he wasn't a welter.

BUT - there is a big difference between losing a fight and being exposed. Being exposed (for me) is like what has happened to John Duddy and Andy Lee recently, both struggling (Lee got TKFO) with gatekeepers, whilst Ricky lost to the P4P king!

The Hatton Witter fight should happen on the basis that they are No. 1 & No. 2 in their respective weight division and nothing else. In terms of accomplishments, Hatton has achieved much more - i.e. multiple weight champ, P4P top 10 etc, whilst Witter has less, but the WBC title and becoming universally recognised as No.2 in division (most important) demands that this should happen.

He beat Collazo on three scorecards, but it's true that Hatton isn't a welterweight and twice hasn't looked like a welterweight.

    Yep. That read wrong. :patsch

Average at top level i.e. nothing special. No real problem in losing to a great like PBF but it was the manner of the loss. Embarrassed in all area's of the fight then finally KO'd.

    He beat P4P#3 Tszyu.
    And P4P Top 10 Castillo.

I'd say Hatton is a good fighter at the top level, P4P he'd match up well.

People may say he's moaning, but when you're a pressure fighter and an inside fighter, the referee not letting you fight on the inside is a bit of a problem against the best boxer in the world!
