    Klitschko Nervous: Readies To Replace Chisora if Needed

    The WBO/IBF/IBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko is a little nervous over Dereck Chisora's legal troubles. The undefeated British challenger is scheduled to appear at the City of Westminster Magistrates' Court on November 10, which is only four weeks before his fight with Klitschko in Mannheim, Germany. Chisora is going to appear for sentencing on theft and assault charges. The assault charge carries a maximum penalty of six months in prison and/or a fine.

    Klitschko revealed to the MK publication that he's negotiating with several possible opponents to replace Chisora - if the British boxer is sent to prison. Chisora's team is confident the unbeaten Brit will not receive any prison time, but Klitschko is not taking any chances with a major televised event in place. He wants a "backup plan" to avoid the possibility of having to cancel the event.

    "Yes, we have already begun to negotiate with other opponents. But at the moment I still can not disclose their names," Klitschko said.

    First I heard of this. Will he get locked up?

    No, it's England. He'll get a £30 fine. Even pedophiles don't get sent to prison here.

    He hurt another human being (his girlfriend) - so he should get off lightly for that offence.

    The Goverment / Courts / Law - only come down hard on you if you hurt them in some way (i.e - Tax Evasion).

    probaly bail him for the fight or have some way of making money out of him.

    money rules.

    as long as the Goverment / Courts / Law - receive money - he can buy his innocence / lenient sentence.

    Whoah! seriously? I thought he'd just groped her bottom.

    What a scumbag, if true. I've always had my reservations about him tbh. As our scandinavian friend and Chisora defense lawyer TFFP will testify.

    Didnt realise it was his girlfriend he assaulted. I was starting to like him but not now. Why do so many boxers feel the need to hit women. Theft is also mentioned, anyone know what that relates to? Doesnt Chisora have some previous from when he was younger?
