    From his most recent interview:

A match with WBA champion Nikolay Valuev is equally unlikely, Klitschko said, as long as the 7-foot Russian is being protected by promoters Don King and Wilfried Sauerland.

Valuev won a disputed decision from 46-year-old Evander Holyfield in a Dec. 20 title defense.

“There’s no way his promoters would ever put him in front of us,” Klitschko said.

“They’re afraid he’d lose and there’d be no way for them to get the title back. It‘d be fantastic if either one of us could get him, but, without that, we have to fight and just continue to write our own successful story.”

Klitschko ruled out Holyfield as well, even if he were to win the WBA title in a rematch.

“I have big respect for him for fighting a guy 10 years younger and fighting well enough to have people believe he won,” he said. “If he becomes champion, I will not fight him. He’s an icon and his achievement would be history. Out of respect for that and congratulations for that, I would not go for it.”

You can be Wlad's hater, but you have to respect him for not wanting to fight Holyfield and possibly hurt him. :good Wlad knows, that it would be great name (only name though, because Holy is at least 15 years past his prime) for his resume and good money, but he has a huge respect for Holy since 1999, when he was Holyfield's sparring-partner prior to Lewis-1 fight.
Also, in this interview Wlad said that he will fight David Haye, Povetkin and Arreola this year. It would be great if he fights 3 times this year.

Respect aside, if Holy had the strap Wlad should fight him IMO.

No he shouldnt. Holyfield would get decimated. It would just be Wlad beating on a 47 year old man that hasnt the slightest chance of winning at all. That fight would be an absolute farce.

Hey is it true Wlad used to pick on Valuev back when they were in Russian boxing program?
Also I find it interesting that Wlad used to break-dance. Why doesn't he use some more rhythm in the ring? He a great fighter and great person, and Vitali as well. I wish they could get that giant in the ring. Maybe when Valuev's promoters think it's time to cash out it will happen, if he doesn't lose before that.

NOW would be a good time for Valuev's promoter Sauerland to let the giant fight one of the Klitschkos. I think if they will be able to avoid Chagaev for one more fight, they will go for the Klitschkos. There will be massively more money in a Klitschko - Valuev fight then in him fighting Chagaev. Its only a matter if they can make Chagaev step aside. I dont think he will. Chagaev will beat Valuev and Valuev will be past.

Wlad won't fight those three guys this year. He will fight Povetkin and one of the other two. This is what I think will happen:

    -May 2009: Wlad vs. Arreola/Haye
    -September 2009: Wlad vs. Povetkin
    -Febraury 2009: Wlad vs. TBA

Wald is true class as is his brother....that is for sure. And in this era of HW's Wald and Vit are the best.....that's not saying too much but it is what it is and they are very good athletes and rep boxing well.

He plans to fight Haye, Povetkin and Arreola? Presumably he plans to win, but I am not so sure that he will. There is a good chance that all three of them won't embarrass themselves. Unlike the most recent victims, they might not just stand there and get hit. The question is, will Klitschko have another nervous brekdown?

But why?? There's no glory in Wlad beating him.

I also think that Chagaev will defeat Valuev, but I disagree with you on the second part of your statement that Valuev will be "past".
Valuev is a behemoth who has a recognisable name and who can draw a huge crowd. He will still be a mayor player at heavy after he has lost to Chagaev.
Whats more German tv will certainly be interested in broadcasting his fights whether he has lost his rematch against Chagaev or not.
Besides lets not forget that Valuev has a very competent and capable promoter who know how to sell his boys and stage big fights.

damn, that's awfully respectful from wlad's part. i think it was rather lowly of valuev for taking the fight with holy and it almost backfired on him. who the hell really wants to see valuev after that awful performance?

You need two for a tango!! Well,I was totally disappointed with Valuev's performance, too.
I got bored silly watching Valuev's lame encounter with that living old zombie Hollyfield.

Anyway! There are still an awful lot of people out there who want to watch Valuev's fights.
