sky is to blame for this one...

the most anticipated hw-fight in a long time is set and they say they cant broadcast because there is a khan-fight in the same month and they cant do 2 ppvs in one month.

    ARE YOU KIDDING ME!?

Contracts. If Khan has the date booked he has the date booked. You don't just **** with people like that - Khan announced after the Maidana fight that he was fighting in April so they must have had that date booked long before the Haye - Klit negotiations started.

The fight could also have happened at any point in May - June when Sky and RTL was more than happy to to show it, but Wladimir (despite saying he'll fight Haye ANYWHERE) said it will have to wait until July as it's the first date they can get a suitable German venue.

    Here:

There were available venues in England in May and June, but Wlad would only fight in Germany (despite saying he would fight Haye anywhere) so July 2nd was the only possible date.

He's the main man, that's his prerogative - but I'm just pointing out that if he meant what he said about fighting Haye anywhere then the fight could have probably happened at the front end of May, meaning there's no need for a tune up with Chisora and the fight is on. Instead he insisted on Germany, meaning that the only available date was July and he'd need a tune up first.

So funny how people are so willing to blame Haye and Sky out right when there are also a number of steps that the Klitschko camp could have taken to make the fight happen.

    Both are to blame

Yes, I am. At that point Peter was very dangerous. Only on e defeat in a competitive fight against the best. He had beaten guys such as James Toney (whom Wlad avoided for years) and Maskaev etc...Haye does not have more cerdentials right now at heavyweight. Peter was considered a serious threat at that time only a 2 1/2 dog in that fight.

He only wants to fight in germany, wants a tune up first, wants to choose his gloves, enter ring as the last....one can undertsand why Haye is through with it.

But he is the main man, so he can demand those things if he likes. But the point is there are also things he could have done to make the fight happen, but didn't. Just like if Haye would have got his mandatory out of the way instead of taking a joke fight against Harrison then this fight could go ahead as planned

I am not convinced he is the main man. Outside Germany, Wlad is not a huge draw (Haye is also a huge draw in UK) . Wlad was not popular in the US. It is a unifcation fight, so everything should be split in my mind.

Wlad doesn't want to lose a payday and risk being inactive gambling on David Haye showing up July 2.

This way he gets paid, stays active and sharp and is still gambling on David Haye showing up July 2.

You've overlooked the fact that the fight could have happened a week after the Chisora fight was due to happen if K2 didn't insist on the fight being in Germany, despite Wlad explicitly stating that he'll fight Haye anywhere.

He wouldn't have had to wait until July because the fight could have happened in May in England

Well if they want him to fight in Germany, they've always run successful shows there, and he's the champ. We all know what happened in their last experience with Haye for a fight in England. Anyway, Haye agreed to it. They gave Haye the April 30 date and July 2. Not their fault Sky killed the April date.

What happened with the last Haye fight in England?

So Wlad says he will fight Haye 'ANYWHERE' , then when they are offered numerous dates in England throughout May and June to stage the fight he refuses to fight anywhere other than Germany.

So then July 2nd is the only available date, Haye accepts. Wlad then decides that he needs a 'tune up' against Chisora. Haye makes it clear that if Wlad fights Chisora then their July 2nd date is not possible as it means he will have to fight his mandatory Chagaev instead. Despite knowing it's make or break for the fight Wlad opts to continue the Chisora fight.

Why does Wlad get a pass for saying he'll fight Haye anywhere then refusing to fight outside Germany? Why does he get a pass for knowing that fighting Chisora will effectively rule out the unification fight, but proceeding to go ahead with the fight anyway?

Haye did everything asked of him.

Wlad got everything he wanted.but Wlad waited to ***** out for lame "payback" for hayes understandable pull outs if you consider poor money to no money going his way, with the fight happening too soon maybe.

now wlad is fighting a waste of time fight,to keep "active" and fresh". now at this age he cant fight 2 "tough" fights within the time scale he acts like he will fight in!

he could just stay active doing light sparring vs the "top" sparring partner such as sprott!.lol.

and then he says he will fight again in september, after july 2nd fight!. unrealistic, arrogant, idiotic.

thats just laughable for him to try dupe people into believeing he will fight these 3 fights on the dates he says he will.

he can say the buzz words of "lier, coward, bitchz" all he wants, its not fooling anyone with half a brain.

if he was so worried about Haye pulling out,why not say that in the first place?

wht not get the contracts to be heavy penalty fines for either guy pulling out of the july 2nd date?.even take haye to court if he pulled out again!.

and yes people,it is 2011,stop going on about 2009.

(and besides haye fighting for no money didnt make sense, and him having to sign a klitschko contract when he had no title wasnt great, hes been good in getting a title, making the fight a unification fight,he is more known to everyone know, well known in germany, aswell as england.
now at this point in time both earn so much more, and fight sells so much better)

How do we know that Wlad doesnt pull out of fighting chisora again, and then go and fight adamek only this year.

ha,people talk about haye dropping out 2 weeks before a fight, but wlad dropped out of fighting chisora 2 DAYS before the fight!.

Haye had his network go bust, which is a good reason for him to pull out,and the k bros contacts as they are,are not very appealing.many boxers have confirmed this fact.

Wlad had his 2 managers give 2 different injuries,2 different recovery dates.and then hes spotted on holiday playing golf and doing all these action sports.

And how did he get injured after doing a light public workout, surely you dont even need to do another workout after doing a pulbic work out earlier that day!.

as if he couldnt get injections to numb the pain aswell.

people stop blindly following klitschkos and blindly hating haye.

(im a haye fan,but i can give haye criticism:
he hasnt fought enough, especially if hes retiring soon,i think he wont retire till he fights one klitshcko, and if that can happen at the end of this year, very start of next year.
his rigid retirement b/s is annoying,he has had not many fights, not had much punishment what so ever,he stays in top shape,he can carry on for 2 years easy, can fight in US like he should be doing, the only thing i can think is that he fears fighitng on vs nobodies for too long like hoylfield, and he has youth, speed and reflexes core to his style, but still, fight on for klitshko fight atleast,2 if possible, and fight 3 maybe 4 top top opponents,in america a few times)

And yet Haye still back out of the fight. Haye could easily do a step aside money for Chagaev and have the Wlad fight in april 30. Now from what i'm reading, it doesn't say that sky sports is available for may or june. The only available date for both networks is july 2. And like i said, if Haye is so concern about Wlad vs Chisora being close to the july 2nd then why not talk to skysports about having the fight in september? Haye or Booth could easily go and talk with skysports and rtl to work out a deal for september. <<<I don't know what's so hard to do that? Too me Haye only wanted to fight an inactive Wlad instead of an active Ward. Haye was trying to use the inactive Wlad to his advantage.
