Vlad has his issues, but he would be dangerous to any heavyweight champ who ever lived. He has the offense to beat any heavyweight champ who ever laced them up. He could also be beaten by many of the past heavyweight champs.

As far as acomplishments go it isn't even close. Ali was a 3 time champ in a very goo eara. If they fought prime vs prime. I would pick Ali but it would be closer than you might think.

Bear in mind that at 31 Wlad is still improving while Ali was reckoned by some to be past his best when he beat Foreman aged 30. I doubt Wlad would struggle to put away Frazier, Ken Norton or Joe Bugner. Never know, I suppose. Tonights Wlad's night so he deserves to be talked up.

Funny though. As I watched Wlad dominate the hapless Brewster
with his penetrating, accurate jab and avoid Brewter's wild haymakers
with his elusive lateral movement and occasional clinches I saw shades
of prime Ali. Ali was the greatest of all time, of course, but Wlad's
    working on some talent.
