Ali is by far a greater boxer as far as achievements, historical significance and fame go. I´d say he was significantly more skilled too. Head to head, a prime Wlad would still have a good chance against a prime Ali. Ali never had a monster punch, but might well manage to wear down Wlad and KO him when he´s fatigued. Ali might well win on points too. I could also see Wlad using his superior size and strength to win a decision.

The fact that Ali could take a hell of a punch, couple that with his hand speed, movement, and jab, add in a splash of Wlad having no chin, I see Ali beating Wlad sensless and TKO/KO him under 9 rounds.

Wladimir doesn't have the name opponents to ever beat Ali's legacy but head to head I'd pick Wlad to KO Ali.

Ali was a slow starter & that's suicide against Wlad.

Ali would play with Wlad like a cat with a mouse, then when he got bored he'd knock him out

I agree that Wlad is still showing signs of improvement, but I seriously think he would struggle to get to round 6 against a prime Foreman.

Hmmm......nah. I think he'd beat either of them, but if they ganged up on him, I'm quite sure they'd win.

    Wait, were you serious? loli.

Klitschko could beat Ali by controlling him with his jab and controlling range and distance forcing Ali to have to take risks to get inside. I really don't see how Ali could beat Klitschko, either Klitschko for that matter. (Frazier would have ended up looking like Brewster or Peter.) Considering Ali and Klitschko at their very best. It just seems time passed Ali who was the greatest of his time. 1966 is not the cutoff that no HWT champ could ever excede or be superior to what Ali was in 1966.
Holmes, Lewis, Tyson, The Klitschkos are the evolution and have raised the high standard of what Ali set.

Wlad is a good heavyweight in a weak era of heavyweights, but there is no way he would beat a prime Ali, even considering the size difference, he is simply not quick enough, Ali rarely got hit before he got forced from the scene and I simply cannot see how Wlad would get to him, he doesnt have the speed or footwork, only thing he has is size.
