He was MUCH better to watch when he wore the black shoes. I remember those days. Pre-Steward Wladimir was awesome to watch. :bbb
That wasn't the stoppage in the Ross fight. The stoppage came in round 11, which Wlad wasn't knocked down, and was just too exhausted to defend himseld properly. Still wasn't really hurt, but Ross kept landed with clean, hard, powerpunches.. in combination.
Puritty landed some punches but Wladimir did not go down in the 11th round. Sdunek stopped the fight, when Ross did not punch! Puritty was also exhausted. If Wlad had learned to hold and survive the round, he did not loose this fight. Wladimir was very angry that Sdunek stopped the fight. Wlad was only 22 years old and he try to knockout Puritty to earlier. His corner did not tell him to pace himself. Wladimir vs. Rahman (TKO round 7, Wlad did not lost any round) Wladimir vs. McCline (TKO round 10, McCline quit). Tell me, why was Wladimir vs. McCline better to watch than Wladimir vs. Rahman? Wladimir vs. Byrd 1, 12 rounds UD Waldimir vs. Byrd 2, TKO round 7! Byrd 1 better to watch? Laughable. Wlad today is a more complete fighter. Better movement, footwork, defence. The fight against Corrie Sanders in 2003, better to watch? For the haters yes, because Wlad lost. I believe that this is the point, with Emanuel Steward Wlad controls the fight in such a great way, they know this Wlad will not lose.
Yes, Wlad was angry at the stoppage. I felt like he could have survived the last two rounds anyways, and he was WELL up on the cards. However, he was exhausted and his corner didn't feel like risking anything.
The haters keep on dreaming. Vlad is the best, actually, "The Klitschko Brothers" are the very best!!!!!!!
I think as champ he can pick what size ring he wants(not sure though).I cant see it making any difference to the fight.I think wlad is just trying to wind Haye up.
