It's size snobbery mainly. Huck's a CW, therefore deemed too small to even compete. This is the same reasoning that would be applied to any CW nowadays, regardless of their skill level or achievements in the ring. The fact is, that cruiserweights are essentially old-school heavyweights in size terms, and unlike the current heavyweights, they have to be in condition to fight. They're also forced to compete more often against each other at the top level, and are less prone to record padding. In fighting terms, there are a number of CWs I'd favour over several top heavyweights, including Huck, who's already shown he can hang against a top five heavyweight in Povetkin. Sure, Wlad will smoke his boots, but that would be the case whoever Wlad fought. Huck, at the very least, provides that level of danger and aggression that is sorely missing among many heavyweights these days.
There's a very good fight coming up on 29th in Pulev vs Ustinov. Wlad should take on a winner of that one rather that bother with a pointless encounter with Huck.
Remember though that the same guys dismissing Huck's chances vs. Wlad because he's too small would regularly boast how Joe Frazier would '****' Wlad
Of course Frazier's miles better than Huck, but it always annoys me when people talk about CWs as being small men, when so many past greats were around about the same size, and in some cases considerably smaller. I think when you're naturally two hundred and ten pounds you're more than capable of knocking out any human being on the planet, provided you have the skills and physical attributes to do so. Of course a bigger man is generally going to be able to take a punch better and deliver one with less physical effort, but they're also more likely to be slow, immobile or lacking in the reflexes needed to slip a punch or deliver a counter, and I for one am getting sick of apathetic punchbags masquerading as opponents for the Klits.
i dont see why Huck is a problem he basically beat Pov and if he got the actual nod people would be going nuts for it Pov was and still sort of is the man most want Wlad to fight, Huck pretty much won Hucks power came up his chin came up, he was able to win inside vs the bigger guy and man handle him at times the only other fight that makes real sense is Puleev other than that everyone else has been beat or doesnt leap out as a real threat
Huck vs. a K brother would be a huge fight in Germany simply because Huck talks a lot of smack and is good at promoting fights, unlike the brothers. The only problem is that Huck is with Sauerland who are with a different TV station than the K brothers. That's why IMO a fight won't ever happen.
