I actually couldnt give a **** if Haye-Klits never fight. Haye should fight Adamek next. Then give Del boy a shot. The heavyweight division has been a joke since Lewis retired anyway.

I dont know why everyone is hating on Haye. So what if he talked **** about the Klits - he was only doing a bit of marketing when he had no belt and when he had lost his Setanta TV deal. He doesnt need the Klits - they are far too big for him and should be fighting in a Super Heavyweight division.

As I have said before, the Klits havent had a competitive fight in years and HBO did the right thing in binning them.

A think a lot of the people who are pissed of with Haye are the ones who didn't realize this and feel cheated or lied to by Haye.

 

You are probably right - but it isnt really hard to see through. For example, when Haye was slagging off Valuev he did an interview were he was saying his mother gave him a ticking off for his conduct and he said something like he had to explain to his mother that it was just boxing and just talk and that he didnt mean any of it.

I mean, most of you lot on here are hardened boxing fans who will sit up half the night to watch a card in Vegas etc - are you seriously telling me that you all thought Haye was for real when he was doing all his **** talking about the Klits etc? I made a thread about Haye's clever marketing a while back I must bump it. The guy should be applauded for the impact he has achieved since his short stint in the heavyweight division.

 

Of course, any genuine fan will feel cheated and lied to. Haye is the WBA champ and no matter what his reasons, a champ is expected to fight the very best. The very best at the moment are the Klits. Make the ****ing fight or be known as a gutless wonder...

...ESPECIALLY when you've built your whole career on being brave, willing to fight all, make the big fights happen etc etc I wouldn't have ever guessed Haye go quiet like this.

Haye is unlucky as well that Wlad is such a good talker and intelligent man. He can expose Haye and do his rep alot of damage by saying the things he's said in that video. It's not like some fat slob yank - who can barely string two words together - is calling him out.

 

Lets not go down the tired, old "genuine fan" line, as if those who don't feel cheated arn't real fans. You could argue that "genuine fans" would realise that this how boxing works and has always worked.

 

Genuine fans are a lot less emotional over a fight not being made. It's the sport they watch, not individual fighters.

 

So anyone too big for Haye should **** off and create a new Super Heavyweight division? If Haye is too small to face the big boys he should have stayed at Cruiserweight.

 

The "this is how boxing works" line is old and tired to me. Anyone accepting anything less isn't a genuine fan to me.

Elite boxers have an obligation to face the best. If they aren't doing it then we should call them on it. Especially when the opponent is publicly saying they've offered you 50-50 and you've gone into hiding.

 

6'2 Brewster managed to get a win. 6'1 Byrd managed to secure a win out of toughness. Sanders is fast, powerful, with a low gas tank, much like David but he is out of shape and only 1inch taller and he could get a win. Ross Purrity is the same height as David and he got a win.

That is 4 out of 5 losses for the Klits suggesting that little old 6'3, 80" reach, 222 pound David could win.
