Anyone that speaks German know what Wlad was saying in that post fight interview? He made the crowd boo at him at one point, then tried to get them back on his side and they didn't sound like they were having any of it.
Whether Haye KOs Wlad is irrelevant (I don't believe it for a second), what isn't irrelevant is the quality of that fight would've killed this one. I've already explained why Chagaev had lost relevancy in the division, Haye would've came out and known that it was KO or be KO'd against Wlad. That would've been entertaining even if Haye got bombed out. And before you start, spare me the "You're not a boxing fan if you hated this" dreck. As a boxing fan and somebody who pays money for ESPN Classic, I'm within my right to complain if something isn't up to even my minuscule standards. As somebody who defends half of Wlad's fights, this was bad. That's two in a row for Wlad following what I thought was a good fight against Thompson.
Wlad REALLY needs to add an uppercut to his repitiore. Even though he loves the straight right and it's normally effective, Chagaev left himself open to the uppercut all night and Wlad never let one go. He really needs to use it more frequently. It's an effective punch and he has all the tools to make it work.
It was plain as day that Haye, being the faster puncher than either Chagaev or Wladimiar, would not have a difficult time finding Wladimir's jaw with a quick left hook. Then the question becomes what will happen not if, but when that punch lands, especially in succession.
