i agree it may be a little interesting, but i want to point out that Wlad - Thompson was decent and shouldn't be put in the same class as the chagaev, ibragimov, and other jab, jab, other guy basically quits- fights. Thompson actually landed some power shots and gave Wlad some problems a couple of times. He at least fought like a man and made it entertaining at times. Perhaps your confusing thompson with austin?

Seriously man, I like Eddie, but you have been using that Dimitrenko fight as a basis for everything recently. Dimitrenko and Wladimir, despite being similar in height and weight, are not the same fighter. Dimitrenko doesn't know how to establish distance, his jab or right hand. He was moving around the right an awful lot against Eddie and showed the same lack of authority he has shown in a number of his fights. Wladimir is much more physically talented and has a far better command of his physical tools. Eddie could always win, but don't make it seem like Wlad is just going to be punching air.

Chambers earned his shot, but he stands no chance. His style is all wrong for going up against Wlad.
The only thing Chambers has is a quick one two. That won't cut it.
Chambers has poor foot movement, and he leans back to avoid punches. That leaning back will not work against a guy with long arms and massive power.
Chambers has no power to hurt Wlad. He can't out box him, can't KO him... the only way Chambers wins is some sort of fluke; like if Wlad trips and hurts himself or if Wlad's recent surgery went wrong and he completely lost all use of his left arm.

I suspect Chambers knows this and his game plan will be to try and not get knocked out. Chambers has a history of barely doing enough to win. In a fight where he has little chance, I don't think he's going to dig deep and try. He's going to coast like he always does, only this time the threat is much bigger, and he'll go down.

It would've been a lot more fun if he had actually gone through with the bout. But mostly, I agree. It was fund to watch...though abruptly ruined by a steady stream of bull****...

Thompson is a good fighter. I've got him in the Top 3 (outside of either Klitschko) of current Heavyweights. :good
