£200k isn't the greatest offer in the world, but it's the same as several domestic/Euro title defences..... plus the purse for a rematch will be preset at a good figure no doubt.

There's an added bonus if the rematch clause is instead a fight with Vitlay.... if he beats Wlad he'll surely beat old lumberjack :yep

I don't blame Del for taking this fight, but it has to be one of the biggest mismatches in HW boxing history...Klit should be disgusted with himself.

Hats off to Del Boy. I just hope he goes in there and swings for the fences and doesn't do what a succession of fat amercians have done and **** himself and freeze.

Wlad is much improved but he does have that air of vulnerability about him. For that reason I can't see him blowing away Delboy. I bet similar things were said about mismatches etc when he fought Corey Sanders....

I'm not saying the same is going to happen here and he's a massive underdog, but it's the heavyweights, Del hits ok and he has a chance. Good luck to him.

I'm proud of Del Boy win or lose. He is a real fighter. If he loses, he can rebuild. If he wins, then the world is his oyster.

Chisora has just had a tough fight physically and coming straight off of that will put him in shape. This is his 4th fight this year so he should be in the best shape he has ever been in. His weight is the lowest it has been in nearly 3 years.

Derek is apparently pally with a few Jewish bigwigs, you've got to have some moolah to be in their company, so i'm guessing he's not desperate for the payday?

man and people say that the haye fight is one sided........

dekka has zero chance at this stage of his career, may make him a better fighter in years to come, but way too early.
maybe wlad feels cos haye is taking an easy fight vs audley he feels within his rights to hand pick a no hoper like dekka.
also the people who say haye is ducking the klits, vit and haye agreed verbily on the contract in person, shook hands on the deal a gents agreement, then when haye got home a few days later the contract arrived from vit and vit's people or vit had stipulated the rematch clause plus another rematch and loads of other options should haye have won, after trying to negotiate with vit's people and get the deal back to the verbally agreed deal valuev's people came in with an offer to haye with the right % and the right contract and he went with that.
that is the only reason david never fought vit, and haye never fought wlad on june 20th 2009 cos david injued his back and Haye had asked Klitschko to delay their fight until July 11, insisting that he would be OK to fight with a brief delay, but Klitschko refused that offer..........
people say haye is ducking the klits........my ****ing arse he is!......
2011.....DAVID HAYE UNIFIED HEAVY WEIGHT WORLD CHAMPION.

Haye is ducking Klitschkos. Haye broke two contracts with them, one signed and one implied. Haye then ran away. I will not be surprised if Audley beats Haye. At least Chisora had the balls to fight Vlad. Vlad has been cleaning out the heavyweight division, something that Haye will never do.

Yes. For Chisora and Warren its a great opportunity. No argument there.

I understand what you mean about Wlad being able to call out Haye afterwards but I only see the British media taking much notice if the fight takes place in the UK.
Chances are it will take place in Germany and may only be available on Sky Box office over here, if at all.
Chisora isn't exactly known for playing the media game to hype this fight and if Wlad ends up telling the whole of Germany he wants Haye, he'll just be preaching to the converted.

I dont believe it will have the desired effect for Wlad if this is his plan.

Wlad shouldn't be staying busy just for the hell of it.

He's been denied a career defining fight and a chance to prove himself great which is a shame but he isn't going to get it fighting Derek Chisora.

He's made a lot of money, he's known as the best heavyweight in the world, if there's nobody else left to fight, just retire.

It might be for Haye (beating Wlad), but I'm not sure beating David Haye is all that much of a career defining, 'chance to prove himself great', fight for Wlad.

Why should he, when he's still got it? Why should he retire when there is a chance he could fight David Haye in the future? and why shouldn't he stay active in the meantime? Should he retire temporarily, sit idle untill Haye steps up, and let ring rust to set in?

I don't understand, how you as a boxing fan how can criticize Wlad for staying active, it's completely ridiculous. Wlad is not doing a Mayweather (coming out of retirement to take on a guy much smaller than him), he's not doing an Evander Holyfield (an old, shot man fighting just for paydays), he's just fighting everyone who steps up to fight him, and while he's still got it, why not? so why are you telling him to retire? What's your agenda? You're clutching at straws man, you know you're wrong.

I know you think Wlad is boring to watch but because of that, you're giving him criticism for STAYING ACTIVE FFS! This is a boxer still around his peak, he's not shot to bits. Jeez, you really hate him don't you? Hell, I dislike Carl Froch but at least I can give credit where it's due and say that the dude keeps fighting the best. I dislike Haye but I can say he's a much more exciting fighter to watch than the Klitschkos (When the dude actually get's in the ring). Cuz I'm not a nuthugger or hater, that's why I can do that. You got so much hate for the Klitschkos.
