Wlad simply bulled his man backward after the point was taken. On clinching it takes two to tango and sometimes they just happen when one guy os moving forward. Lennox Lewis was a clincher and fouler in the clinches. Ali cliched more often than Wlad.
I would have liked to have seen one more point taken away from Wlad. I also would have liked to have seen a hook and an uppercut. Does anyone have the stats on that fight? That must have been like 400 jabs, 4 straight right hands, one left hook, 20 pushes, and 96 clinches. Jennings did play a lot of defense but I can't believe that Wlad had no other tricks up his sleeve to get through that.
Andre Ward clinched 88 times in 10 and a half rounds against Micky Kessler and he butted the cr*p out of of him too, as well as committing other infractions.
If he ever shows his stupid bloated gormless visage around these parts he will feel the full force of the law. :deal
Jennings was following Calvin Brock's strategy..which i've been telling people on these boards is the key to getting to Wlad's body for years now. Duck under his arm and beat his body until the ref forces the break. Don't just jump in with a wild miss, tuck your head, and accept the clinch to reset. The problem is unlike Brock, Jennings didn't have any jab to work behind and get anything else done.
Is anyone really surprised at this point? I mean, they don't call him Grabimir Clinchko for nothing, right?
Semantic Like the band Semantic Hallucinations aka (in Russian) as Smyslovye Gallyutsinatsii [YT]nHdwUEJgR1A[/YT] Other than that it was a godly post.
