I just realized not once did I think, man I wish Wlad would just fight X guy already. No matter how **** you think the era was, he made the fights that needed to be made, always.

Seeing dudes like Wilder and Haye constantly in **** fights or fake retirements, and you want to see them in good match-ups and they refuse.

If Fury wins the rematch, let's see what path he takes.

agree both Wlad and his brother have been victim to not having enough people to fight. The fact is that they have fought everyone thats avalible at the time. It's not on them that the only people left to fight where bums. It will defently be interesting to see where Fury goes after this.

Wlads era hasn't been bad at all, no worse than Lewis' and he'll of a lot better than the 80's.

The 80's maybe. Lewis' era? You must be smoking some good ****. Unless you are talking about the last three or four years.

I don't see what made Lewis era so special or much greater than Wlads. He'll you had the elite in Lewis and Holyfield, Bowe.

But behind them you had a medley of fighters who where good but not great in Morrison, Mercer,Tua,Ruddock and Moorer, Jackson.

Fighters who to be fair should never have been champions lie Old Foreman, Botha, Bent and Hide.

Outside of there being 3 big names and of course the corpse of Tyson the contenders where no better or worse than the ones around now apart from they are not Americans.

Much more credit to Wlad over Lennox in terms of fighting the best available competition. It's really a shame that the next generation of super heavies took so long to develop. Poor Wlad is almost 40.

Most of the time, I found Wlad interminable to watch but I couldn't accuse him of ducking anyone. He fought all the top contenders and their ability, or lack thereof, isn't his fault.

I've got a few criticisms of Wlad but his willingness to fight anyone isn't one.

The only man from Lewis's era besides Corrie Sanders that I maybe would take over a prime Wlad is Lewis himself.

Such a shame he didn't fight either of them.

wladmir beat em all. he smashed pulev, battered povetkin and made haye give him a BJ.

fury was just another monster. i backed pulev to cause an upset and i think he was a good fighter. but fury had the attributes.
