He was under contract with Universum and fought Vitali directly under a Universum promotion.

Wlad opted not to exercise his rematch rights with Sanders.

It's true Sander's didn't want to fight Wlad but Wlad and Universum didn't want the rematch either.

Sander's was simply looking to cash out. He wanted a big payday and Universum were trying to get Sander's to defend his mandatory against Brewster which would have paid him peanuts. Sander's knew he had got a winning lottery ticket by upsetting Wlad and didn't want to blow the opportunity by losing to a nobody for a small pay day.

Sander's tried to break the 4 fight options deal he was signed to as Universum were not giving him the big fight he wanted. The WBO eventually mandated Sander's must face Brewster, Universum won the purse bid with a $1.8 million bid, so Sanders dumped the belt which resulted in Sanders being made the WBC's number 2, something he had been lobbying for, unfortunately for him Vitali became the WBC champion later than year meaning he got peanuts for fighting Vitali, though at least he got a shot at a major title.

Oh please. Sanders signed with Ogun/Lewis for the Vitali fight. Universum dragged him to court over this.

Read this carefully: Sanders alleges that the WBO's acts made "a backroom deal" with powerful German promotional company, Universum to make sure that Sanders would be forced into an eventual rematch with Wladimir Klitschko.

The WBO, Universum and Wlad were after a rematch. The problem was that they had options on Sanders which were financially very disadvantageous for the South African. That's why Sanders tried to get out of the contract and made a rematch practically impossible.

Whatever you write about the circumstances at the time of the fight, Wlad had until sanders retired again to rematch him, and sanders always wondered why wlad didnt seek it.

Wlad ducked a rematch with sanders, full stop.

Did you even read the entirety of those links you posted?

Universum were forcing him to face Brewster and were trying to Fukk him over on his earnings.

Why could Wlad not take the immediate rematch? It was fully in his rights. Was he waiting for Sanders to get even older than he already was?

Why would Sanders face the bigger and better brother but refuse the lesser one who he just easily KO'd?

He wanted a big cash as his days as a fighter were long gone. The Wlad rematch would have been the big money earning cash out he sought but Wlad and his people didn't want it.

What are you talking about? Wlad sought a rematch and Sanders dropped the WBO belt and hid behind a lawsuit, then retired.

You need a lot of fantasy to construe this into Wlad ducking Sanders :deal

Your own links prove Wlads team were pushing Sanders into a Brewster fight , not a Wlad rematch. You're constructing an alternate reality

Yes it's pretty clear Universum didn't want an immediate rematch. Wlad simply was not ready. Prior to the loss Universum were against Wlad fighting Lewis they didn't think he was ready and after the loss they were even more cautious in regards to Wlad's level of opposition, the last thing they wanted was another loss to Sanders.

As far as I recall Tua was the mandatory for Sanders and somehow Brewster was wangled inot the mix. At that stage Sanders was looking to cash out and was keen to fight anybody for the right sort of money.

But when lawyers get involved everything goes to hell.

Let's be serious, I don't believe that either Sanders nor Wlad would have been avoiding each other given the right payday.
