He's pretty good and pretty much dominates everyone he fights. Is he moving up anyone's list to ATG status at HW?

It's interesting. If he was blasting these guys out in one round, then I think people woud be making the case up and down. But because he is thoroughly out-boxing them, you're not really supposed to say it...I think that this win is a signature win and brings him closer for sure. I think he's reached the same sort of domination over B level fighters as Mike Tyson. I think that if he retires undefeated at, say, 37 or 38, he will have a case for the top 12, assuming he ducks nobody in that time.

But he's going to have the same problem as Dempsey - he's not matching the other top HW of his era.

I tend to agree with you. People don't like his style but he's effective and he usually ends up with knockouts. He's smart and just too good for the other HWs of this era (other than his brother).

Those losses to three UNDRATED fighters Brewster, Sanders, and Purrity are always going to keep him from top 10. But Wlad right now has moved up to # 19 on my all time heavyweight list and if he beats Potvekin, Haye, and Arreola....he will defintley make top 11-15 spots all time.

Vitali is 38 years old now...Hes nowhere near the talent level of his brother and I will bet Old Slow Vitali will be out of boxing within the year. That leaves talented young studs Boystov Potvekin Haye Arreola all men WLAD WOULD LOVE TO FACE....and these guys are all legacy boosters epsecially dangerous punchers like Arreola and Haye.

Vitali is more aggressive though and has a better chin. It'd be interesting. Neither guy would dominate the other.

As for him ending up 11-15 if he accomplishes a bit more, that's pretty reasonable IMO.

Vitali is also 38 and past his prime. Wlad does everything better. Wlad hits harder, much better technique, much more skilled as a boxer, much better timing, much better accuracy, much rangier, much better jab, much better combinations, much better punching arsenal, and wlad has shown more heart in the ring. Even in vitalis prime, wlad would still outclass vitali. Now?? wlad would mop the floor with his brother.

I can't say I agree with you. Vitali is pretty solid. I'd be interested to know how you think Vitali-Haye would go down if it happens.

Can't see it myself. Joe Louis, Mike Tyson, LArry Holmes, Lennox Lewis, Joe Frazier, Ali, Liston, Foreman, Bowe, Marciano, Johnson. Not to mention the 3 guys who have already sparked him. There are plenty of others i have not mentioned too.

As for Vitali, Wlad is better in so many departments. He would be winning the fight until his chin failed him, which it would.

What does vitali do better than Wlad? NOTHING He has a better chin. THATS IT. A slow 38 year old with a good chin is not going to beat Wlad....Wlad is far better in every department than vitali
